I tried to get into it after it came out, and couldn't get myself to like it after following the Shiny Flakes case. If you like the show, that's great! It just felt, to me, like a bastardized version of Schmidt's story; I personally enjoyed the Shiny Flakes documentary, but I understand that isn't as engaging for many, and also much shorter than a series.

That's fair, I didn't watch the documentary yet, but from what I've seen, the real person (Maximilian Schmidt) is nothing like the character Moritz Zimmerman in the show based on him. It quickly becomes clear that the story is its own thing and takes a lot of creative license
