This way you can also understand who is a foilhat retarded compared to who is taking it, for free, on company time, like it normally should be

Ive started using iphones at the very beginning with nokia s60 phones. By the year 2012 I was overwhelmed by notifications and i started to adopt the policy "you need me urgently? Call me" I have Disabled all notifications except for calls. I have no push notifications active and a great phone battery life.

I still use telegram for messaging but on my own pace (messages gets downloaded only when i open the app)

Drastic measure

No motivation to do better leads to stagnating tech evolution. If you remove private business you stagnate

If you are used to taking public transportation you may want the seat just because no one can sit near you

Time to time i watch twitch from an iPad that I use only for that and an ad banner appeared of a weird but useful adapter for USBC. I clicked on it on purpose (first ad I clicked in a decade probably) the link wasn't working, dead link. I was speechless.

Italian here. Our right wing government who blinks an eye to all small entrepreneur in Italy (there are A TON here) recently increased the max cash payment from 2k to 5k. This is definitely a way to say "please be free to recycle a bit more oney" and to gain votes in exchange.

It's incredible how Germany, Austria, or Switzerland to name a few have this crazy high cash payment.

In fact our "ndrangheta" for example (Mafia from Calabria) expanded a lot in Germany due to this.

Depends on the budget he decided to put into this.

At the end it's investing, he has decided let's say a budget of 200k per day on this, he will but 1 full btc until the price of 1 btc is 200k. After that probably the money will go on something else.

Im running an android phone from 2016 with android 13 and last week security patches. Smooth as silk, no google, no ads, battery lasts 10h SOT. That's the reason why ill never switch to Apple as daily driver (I have 1 provided by my company)

Have you used android in the last 10 years? Im not the kind of guy who install 100 apps per day but i did not encounter this issue for a VERY long time.

I have an old Samsung UE55C8000XPXZT that after a storm started to shutdown itself after a few minutes of use. While I'm using it for the few minutes it stays on, it behave normally, after that the display flashes a couple times and it turns off (but the TV is still on even tho black screen and no audio). To revive it I have to unplug the power and leave it rest for a while.

Here is a video of the board: https://streamable.com/lvaxhh

Maybe someone can help me identify the issue. I'm quite affectionate to this TV and I'm all in for saving money and the environment without going for a new one.

Hi, I just unpacked an iPhone and I noticed this weird widget that was pre-added to my home-screen. Looks like it is ads! Is this a new normal behavior for Apple?

When you click on it you get redirected to the app-store to download this ticket app

Hi, I wanted to know if any of you have info regarding some specifics of Air VPN.

On Reddit some time ago I found this google spreadsheet with a list of basically all the VPN services and a rating by color: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1L72gHJ5bTq0Djljz0P-NCAaURrXwsR1MsLpVmAt3bwg/edit

I started then to filter-out all the red one but I was wondering for AirVPN (which looks good on almost everything on paper) what's wrong with their "ethics". If you go into the specification of the "Ethic" tab ther's nothing much explained and I can't find anything online regarding this.

On some website it has quite low ratings as well but they do not explain very much why.

Thanks

I was wondering if there's a way to check how many users have an account on lemmy in total. Do you know where to see that? Is it publicly available?
