I can't imagine an scenario where BG3 doesn't win the GOTY.

I recently discovered the song by Jax.

I just finished "Pinocchio" by Winshluss and it was very different than the BD that I am used to.

I liked the art (resembling of Robert Crumb) and the Pinocchio adaptation for mature audiences. There is a lot to like in the clever storytelling and how the stories connect with each other.

Perhaps this was not my cup of tea, but it was refreshing and definitely something very unique that I am happy to add to my collection.

EDIT: This Pinocchio adaptation is not appropriate for children or young comic readers. Just in case it wasn't clear from my post.

Algo no está sincronizando bien con lemmy.world , algún problema con la federacion quizás. Así que posteo desde lemmy.world a ver que sucede.

BG3 is critically acclaimed and on path to win every GOTY award this year. Taking this into consideration any game compared against BG3 may look lackluster, not just Starfield.

I didn't play these games yet but I did play The Outer Worlds and it was acceptable to me. If Starfield is a game along the same lines then I am OK with that.

Do we actually want all the redditors and their "content" in Lemmy?

Be careful what you fish for.

The weather-related disruptions have caused suspension of the cleaning and emptying of thousands of portable toilets.

This sounds nightmarish. People will start avoiding the portable toilets and it will be even worse.

With this game it always seem to be more profitable to keep it in development forever rather than releasing it.

I'm just a little bit late to the Baldurs Gate 3 party,

Late? As a patient gamer I would say you got in early. :)

I played most of the mainstream CRPG, including multiple Larian Studios titles and I have no doubt that I will play BG3 as well... But probably in a year or two after the game gets some polish and, hopefully, a discount.

BTW, thanks for posting and generating content in Lemmy.

Now that Sync users can post we will get more content.

This article is pure clickbait and poor "journalism".

We all know by now that ChatGPT is full of incorrect data but I trusted it will no go wrong after I asked for a list of sci-fi books recommendations (short stories anthologies in Spanish mostly) including book names, editorial, print year and of course ISBN.

Some of the books do exist but the majority are nowhere to be found. I pick the one that caught my interest the most and contacted the editorial directly after I did not find it in their website or anywhere else.

This is what they replied (Google Translate):

ChatGPT got it wrong.

We don't have any books with that title.

In the ISBN that has given you the last digit is incorrect. And the correct one (9788477028383) corresponds to "The Holy Fountain" by Henry James.

Nor have we published any science fiction anthologies in the last 25 years.

I quick search in the "old site" shows that others have experienced the same with ChatGPT and ISBN searches... For some reason I thought it will no go wrong in this case, but it did.

When I hide posts in my feed I was expecting to not see them again (as it worked in RIF), but I do see them again if I refresh my feed.

I was a RIF user in Reddit, never used Sync before, so maybe this is working as intended. I hope it is a bug as for me hiding posts should prevent the post to appear again in my feed.

I filtered a community in the filters section in settings but I was still seeing that community in my feed.

So I opened the community and then blocked it with the options in the toolbar.

This worked but the community is not seen in the filtered communities.

So where exactly I see and manage my blocked communities?

EDIT: If anyone search this post later, I think that there is a difference withing BLOCK and FILTER a community.

BLOCK is at the instance level and related to my account in that instance.

FILTER is at the Sync app level.

I have tried both methods and they both meet my goal to stop seeing a community but if is best for me to use FILTER so I can manage this and see a list of what I have blocked in the Sync app.

The disadvantage with this second method is that if I use another app to access lemmy, or my instance, then I will see all the communities that I didn't want.

Not a big deal as it looks like I will be sticking with the Sync app.

I solved this problem by just adding any game I want to my wishlist instead of my backlog and then wait until there is a big discount (50% or more) on the game...

So many to pick... But I will choose only a few...

Age of Empires 2

Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri

Heroes of Might and Magic III

Civilization

Doom 2

As an avid midlife gamer with nostalgic interest in gaming history I enjoy reading gaming books.

In this picture you can see the gaming books I own. My favorite is "Masters of Doom" followed by "The Ultimate History of Video Games" (I am aware there is a second volume).

I would like to hear more recommendations from you.

P. S: Note that PC gaming is my thing therefore it is highly unlikely that I will get a book about consoles or console games.
