I agree that this may be the only real solution for the time being. I have personally been trying to submit good content to my favorite magazines to combat some of the spam, but there is a real influx of it and it's making it difficult to use the site.

Yep, there was a time when streaming services actually became easier than piracy. That was when there was basically just Netflix and Hulu. If you had both of those, you had everything.

Yes, I agree with this. I've thought about this before, and Star Wars doesn't really qualify as "Science Fiction", because we never learn about the science of anything. It's just there - part of the scenery. That's the fantasy aspect; we're not thinking about realism or how things work, we are just fantasizing about a cool futuristic space setting with space magic and swords with blades made of light.

My favorite part of that episode is right after Picard gets there and finds out what's going on. He takes one look at the ghost and is just like "Come on Beverly, we're getting out of here."

But seriously, even in a "democracy", there is too much shady shit going on behind the curtain to really hold the general public accountable for all of it.
