Guess we lost some nuance over the internet.

My whole point is that Japan is so often portrayed as this ideal country and this ultra respectful society. Mainly by people that know Japan through an anime obsession and maaaaybe one visit to the country. In reality Japan is a very flawed country with many very serious issues. But the internet (and especially reddit/lemmy) has a hard-on for the country for some reason.

Get out of the lemmy Foss bubble and ask again. I don't know anybody that actually gives a fuck about manifest v3 tbh.

You finished the gta 5 campaign in 10h? You just speedran it once?

If not, nice hyperbole...

(rdr2 campaign was also more than 10h, to name a recentish Rockstar game) . Many other big AAA titles aside from cod also have campaigns that last longer than 10h.

I'd argue I got my 60usd worth of content out of the single player. I can understand they focused on MP for further content.

Gta5 had a shitty single player experience? Did we play the same game? Wtf?or rdr2, another Rockstar game?

Shit on Rockstar all you want, but their game have entertaining stories...

Yes, it always comes up Japan is so clean, kids clean their schools etc. How is that not utopian?

Let me guess, you're butt hurt because I said something negative about your dream country?

This shit always comes up. Japanese schools also have janitors and ppl that clean the schools. The kids also have to clean regularly, but it's not as if the entire school is only cleaned by kids. They just have to wipe floors after lunch and once a semester do a big cleanup. Toilet cleaning is phasing out entirely. That used to be a thing, but less and less so nowadays. They are ofcourse teaching respect etc, but that doesn't mean that kids don't just throw their shit on the ground or clean up stuff better. They do it because they have to and they don't give a fuck about the why. Most of them absolutely hate it.

Let's not mention all the other fucked up things in the japanese school system that makes it far from an example to strive for tbh. They're only now starting to tackle social issues that were tackled in the 80/90s in the west, not to mention the parrot 100% rather than understand even of a sliver of why or think critically or for yourself way of teaching that is only now veeeeeeeery slowly starting to phase out.

But Japan is this perfect utopia according to the internet... So I guess they'll keep regurgitating this cleaning tidbit until eternity.

Half the time I can't install games from gamepass. On steam I install a game in 5m. On gamepass I have to schedule installing a game 2d in advance and hope at some point overnight it installs. Sucks so hard, because I actually like it. But it's such a drag to actually use, I just don't...

That game was the total opposite for me. Played it at launch and sunk in like 40h in a week. Absolutely loved it. Put it aside for a while and I have never been able to spend more than 30m on it since...

They made the claim, they should back it up.

Again, I strongly dislike Musk, but I've only read testimonies that he knows his rockets. Give me counterproof, please! Any fuel for the musk fanboy tears is worth it. But I want it to be true, not just bashing for the sake of bashing

Not a musk fan in the slightest, can't stand the man... but do you have any proof he actually has no clue about rockets? Easy to make the claim, but I'd love to see it backed up.

Not saying I'm a fan of that exact behaviour, but a lot of the tech behind the scenes is driven by passionate Foss ppl :)

I often roll my eyes when I see fear and doom mongering about privacy, but hey, the other side of the coin is equally annoying (people over sharing every single thing they do online :))
