It's a tactic for Reddit to avoid people hearing about alternatives

Someone didn't check the context before commenting.

Making my point

You literally had to make something up to be mad about.

And yes, I'm blocking you, because there's no value in arguing with a troll that has to completely swap the opposing argument just to feel superior. Goodbye.

Aaaaand you've willfully ignored what I've said so you can do more grandstanding. This is precisely what I'm referring to. Your first sentence shows that you didn't even understand what you were replying to.

For context, I was saying that meat corporations may be paying trolls to make vegans look like loons and idiots in a similar fashion to Russia's pro-Trump troll farms. That is the exact opposite of what you've now claimed.

I can think of two possible reasons for your complete failure at a response:

  • First, because you felt the slightest opposition to your position, even if the opposition is only to your methods, was a personal attack, in which case, you're doing thr job plenty well yourself, or
  • Second, because I nailed it, called you out, and you felt you needed to cover your ass.

And based on the complete disconnect between what my comment actually said and the ignorant content of your own, I'd say the latter is entirely possible.

I can't speak to the specifics of it, but Bedrock and Java editions are functionally entirely different games. They're designed to function nearly the same, but under the hood, the only real similarities are in the graphical assets. Past the user interaction, they're not really comparable at all.

Thinking about it, it is strange that such extremist behavior seems so prevalent around here. In the real world, I haven't heard much like this since the Australian couple that malnourished their puppies years ago. They displayed the same level of smugness the whole time.

On the fediverse, however, it seems like I see someone yelling "carnist rapist murderer" every couple of days. I'm honestly starting to think that there actually might be some kind of corpo-backed false-flag going on here, it's so extreme and constant. There are people in this thread alone who are so extreme it reaches the point of parody.

Yes, they did. Either way, however, not shearing domestic sheep is harmful to them, and I've personally seen the molestation "argument" appear in response to such a statement in the past.

Someone who's more informed might respond with something about the selective breeding. Plenty will still respond with the same energy already seen within this thread.

Can't help but notice the sudden influx of downvotes for any comment that isn't making the claim that all farmers fuck cows. It's almost like some kind of brigade.

Let me ask you this: where do you stand on shearing sheep?

EDIT: Since the user chose to ignore my question, I'll just explain my reasoning. Many vegans consider the shearing of sheep and using of wool to be cruel, with some having 'rape' and 'molestation' narratives like those being addressed in this meme and active in this thread. Despite this, modern sheep require sheering for their health, and will become matted, heavy and overheated otherwise.

So, on a user page, under the dot menu, there's a report option. Tapping this opens a Reddithelp article. I assume this is a leftover from Infinity, but I figured it should be pointed out since this app isn't attached to Reddit.

ChatGPT API Piracy (lemmyonline.com)
submitted 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) by Ganbat@lemmyonline.com to c/piracy@lemmy.dbzer0.com

Is this even still a thing? It seems to be pretty well dead. Poe-API shat the bed, GPT4FREE got shut down and it's replacement seems to be pretty much non-functional, Proxies are a weird secret club thing (despite being nearly totally based on scraped corporate keys), etc.

Since the shutdown of SD on Colab, is there any option for running SD without disposable income?

I know about StableHorde, but it doesn't seem to really... Well, work. Not for people without GPUs to gain Kudos on at least. It always gives a 5+ minute long queue and then ends up erroring out before that time runs out.

EDIT: It took me a while to set up. but as it turns out, my best option is in fact my 10-year-old computer with a 2GB AMD card. Using the DirectML fork of the WebUI with --lowvram runs pretty damn well for me. It's not as fast as Colab was, but it's not slow by any means. I guess the best advice in the end is, even if you're on a shitbox, try it, your shitbox might surprise you. So take note, though, that running on 2GB Vram doesn't work for everyone, only the luckiest of broke mfs can do that it seems.

Is Xmanager a Scam? (lemmyonline.com)
submitted 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) by Ganbat@lemmyonline.com to c/piracy@lemmy.dbzer0.com

So, I've heard about XManager for a little while and just finally decided to try it, and...

So just level with me, is this thing an advertising scam? When I tap on a version and choose download, an ad appears, I wait for it's timer to finish, close it and... Nothing happens. It never downloads anything, just serves ad after ad.

Edit: So, after disabling ads and trying again several more times, I was able to download and install.

I've got a big music library of CD rips that I'd like to share, but my ISP routes my traffic, meaning I can't forward shit to my computer. I can't change ISPs because I live in a functional monopoly and this is the only provider with reasonable data rates. Is there anything I can do to share? Thanks in advance!
