Not the one you responded to but on the Canadian steam it’s 93.49.

they removed 2 maps

They didn’t remove them permanently. They just removed them to rework them for the new engine. Besides, with the new map coming out I wouldn’t have wanted to play the old ones we’ve been playing for the past years

tanked the performance

I’m only having issues in 1 or 2 compounds otherwise it’s the same performance as before on my end

increased the matchmaking time tenfold

Haven’t been my experience at all. Maybe it’s a region thing but east coast has no matchmaking time difference

reduced server performance

That part has indeed been more noticeable, but only had maybe 4 games where servers went to crap since the update

screwed up the ranking system

They haven’t change the ranking system with the update. Are you referring to the change that happened back this summer ? If so, that change has been great. Solo sweat lords that derank on purpose to try and stomp noobs was fuckib wack. Now they get to stay in their place where they should be.

increased skin prices

They’ve been doing that for quite a while. What does it have to do with the engine upgrade ?

introduced countless new bugs and crashes

Yeah true, but all games have those. Hunt is neither better nor worse then others on that front. They sure should’ve done a test server before deploying the engine upgrade, but who knows why they didn’t.

The rest of your post is just pointless to entertain a discussion.

Yes, because people got pissy about the menu UI. It’s really not great and needs rework, but not enough to review bomb like it is right now. Globally, the game is really better with the new engine even if there are stuff to be fixed still.

In that case, I have no calms with early access as long as expectations are managed and people aren’t led to believe the game is ready for launch. Which they did well.

It was plastered all over the place that it was early access and I remember them warning everyone in a live stream that there would be bugs and such.

However, I will agree with you if they ditched paying an actuel QA team in favour of free early access players. I don’t have the answer to that though.

I might be wrong, but I’d wager it has to do with the popularity of DnD vs Pathfinder. That and the nostalgia from BG 1 and 2.

[–] Gromga@sh.itjust.works 6 points 1 year ago

I think it has to do with the current popularity of DnD in general.

Corrected. Thank you.

Oh absolutely. It’s more the wording of it then the information per se that bothers me.

I’m tired of news outlets always claiming that the strikes costs X amount of money to the economy. It’s almost never the strikers fault but corporate greed that’s responsible.

As if they were able to compare themselves and learn anything.
