Oh, I'm well ahead of you there. I'm just amazed at how forgettable the ad is.

It doesn't really work at all in my view, which is why you hear xi as a pronoun so rarely.

I don't understand why they/them pronouns isn't the option here. It's already the default if you don't know a person's gender.

You, your, and you again, are all gender neutral already.

I don't see the point of this.

Why not just use the bottom line for third person?

I was wondering what the leader of the CCP had to do with NZ for a moment.

Also, I keep reading OP's comments in the voice of Gollum.

The most common use for AI in the future will be sifting through all the AI sludge to find content actually made by a human.

I can see adverts being created specifically for viewers of one show in the near future.

If we don't already, we need to start associating AI advertising with poor quality products from companies that don't really care.

Also that advert is just the most generic thing I've seen in a long time. Very forgettable.

It's because he's the last competent leader National has had.

Key was actually very left leaning in a lot of aspects, like benefits for example. It's part of the reason he held Labour off for three terms.

I respect the sentiment, but the project was on track to be more than a billion dollars more than the initial estimates, which would have been a cost overrun of more than 100%

That's a colossal blow out.

They were oddly quiet when the project got canned, and there were even a few admissions that the cost of the project had blown out to an unacceptable level.

I think Labour know their handling of the project will be brought up again if they protest.

Hopefully, the solution is new boats that are a more sensible size, and don't need the extensive infrastructure upgrades the new fleet would have required. One of the cancelled designs would have been a similar displacement to our current fleet of three.

I really hope the solution isn't another clapped out beater from Europe.

Would you want to know about this if you were planning to have this person live on your property? What an absolute nightmare.

I think I posted the story about the original break in, but what an operation. It sounds like they were importing the tobacco in bulk, then manufacturing the cigarettes, as well as forging the packaging.

For those reading this that aren't in NZ, cigarettes are very expensive here, over $2 a cigarette for some brands, and it's mostly tax.

This guy sound like such an utter tosser.

Police don't even know whose money it is, or where it came from. I think they should be able to keep it.

I'm guessing the author doesn't know the difference between a BB gun and a pellet gun/air rifle, because I doubt a BB would reliably kill a pigeon.

I'm quite surprised a vessel like this isn't NZ flagged, given it's operating exclusively in NZ waters.

I'm sure it was just a poorly thought out choice of words, but the Tsunami remark is kinda hilarious.

Good on the postal union to tell them where to stick their pamphlet, I say.

Of course, David Seymour is upset about it.

Yup.

A major update about the meth lollies, something got lost in translation with the police I think, they seem way too relaxed about class A drugs being out there in the community.
