So far it's kind of like a breath of fresh air compared to the dumpster fire that reddit has become, but so far I haven't seen any videos of gifs come up in my feed and it's got me thinking that it's not a thing here, which is pretty disappointing. Correct me if I'm wrong though

While I certainly see where you're coming from, I disagree as well. At certain points in the series he outright rejects to his daughter using her powers at all. When Eve moves back in she makes concessions to not use her powers in the house to appease him. While I do think every parent would worry about their kids being involved in super hero stuff, I mean look at Mark's mom, Eve's Dad treats her like shit for just having powers and being weird. As Eve said in the show she just wants them to accept her for who she is, and the powers are a part of that. Think about the time she moved off into the woods and did more stuff for the environment and communities. It was a lot less dangerous than stuff she had done before and her parents didn't seem to be any more approving of her life style.
