Hey all, I am an avid BetterDiscord user. I have a OnePlus8t running Namelss13 custom rom (mentioning that for compatibility reasons) and looking for the smoothest, up-to-date, and best experience modified discord app with a sleek looking UI that has plugins & themes

I started out with Aliucord, but they don't seem to have it up to date super often (in terms of new features discord releases). Aside from that and I think having a few niche issues, it was a very smooth experience, they have a plugin repo directly through the app, in addition to themes, but themes also aren't supported on my own rom. Another reason I liked Aliucord was they have the tablet view by default, so the vertical separator is more narrow and space efficient. Their plugin repo selection is a LOT like betterdiscord, so much that it seems like some devs from there have worked on them

I wanted something more up-to-date and fresh looking, so I recently tried out Vendetta. Definitely checked both of those boxes, however, the navigation feels a bit more unresponsive for some reason. They have plugins and themes, but not through a repo - I have to look through their discord plugins channel, and it's sadly not nearly as broad as Aliucord. Vendetta by default doesn't have tablet mode enabled; there is a plugin, but it doesn't work consistently. This app also launches very slow for the initial startup if it wasn't in the background (for me)

Has anyone experienced a client that you would recommend over these two? Or is development not quite there (reaching my own personal expectations, at least), and these are still the best options? Just to note, the apps are well made - I just want more, so I know I'm probably asking for a lot :)

I'm trying to avoid using reddit at all, so trying to bring discussion here. Thanks in advance for suggestions or advice!

Absolutely fucking glorious!

It makes me so happy seeing reddit come together against this bullshit

Kind of, but not fully. It's more like I'm aware that the reality is I have to start being careful even if I'm still considered "young", more like don't do any stupid shit

I swear, since the day I turned 28, anytime I stand in 1 spot for more than 30 seconds where I lock one of my knees, if I then adjust or move, I get fuckin rice crispy knees LOL

I had my gallbladder out in my late 20s, but that's more caused by gaining 50 lbs in college and then losing 20 lol

Other than that, that's basically it so far, thankfully. I don't really have back pain or other stuff. I have a sedentary job (I'm in IT) where I sit at a desk almost the entire work day (we do 1 walk), but I also can take a 1.5 hr break if I go to the gym instead of 1h, so I do that instead, which helps my health. I'm trying to do tennis on Tues and Thursdays as well
