@kellyaster @StitchIsABitch i have the same problem with tailscale and navidrome. I think thought it is due to not having a direct connect but using there derp servers.

What do you do for a calendar? New to selfhosting/homelab. in c/selfhosted@lemmy.world
strange problem. I have a raspberrypi as vpn gateway. I have a reolink cctv. It emails me when motion. If i use openvpn, it works fine. If i use wireguard, it does not work. If i connect in c/selfhosted@lemmy.world

@AtariDump yeah. I cam use openvpn or wireguard, would like to use wireguard as a lot faster

@AtariDump did a tcpdump, and dns is working, have self hosted pihole. It is really strange.

If i connect to the vpn gateway on my laptop, openvpn and wg forward the laptop traffic fine. The openvpn and wg is connects to the same commerical vpn service.

@unkn0wn can you use this for a gateway for other devices to connect to the servers vpn in my lan?

The problem i have is that if i use a docker, it does use the vpn interface with iptables, but if that goes down, the docker still goes through without the vpn interface. I have looked at iptables, but docker makes it own, and bit of a minefield. Any ideas? Thanks
