Yeah I'm totally sure the Brits didn't break a single thing shipping artifacts to their big fancy museum. Let's ignore all the mummies Europeans ground up into powder and ingested as "medicine". 1. Hasn't been an issue (yet)
2. Just tried it and while I can take a selfie, it does limit how much of the background I can capture, so sometimes I'll have to unhook it.
3. Yeah, I have to unhook it, that's fair. Not hard to do, but an extra step.

Honestly, it's born out of a philosophical idea that smartphones are the modern day equivalent of pocket watches: a device we carry with us to stay in sync with the rest of the world. (Worth noting I don't own a smart watch.) So your points are mostly valid, but it's my special kind of crazy.

I don't know. It's saved my phone from falling several times. I guess it's not for everyone tho.
