For me, it was using the little plug-in light on my Gameboy Color so I could read under my blankets. Yep, not to play my Gameboy, but to read books. I was that nerdy kid growing up.

Bless at low-to-mid levels and spirit guardians later are the best things Shadowheart can spend her concentration on for, like, 95% of situations. Both spells are extremely good, just like they are in the tabletop. Never understood people criticizing Shadowheart for being useless; she’s a Cleric, and that’s great already even if her subclass (which you can respec her out of) is subpar for the class.

I remember trying to watch anime on Hulu recently. I have the sub with ads and the ads kept causing a desync in the subtitles. The ads they added kept causing problems with their player. So I just downloaded it because it was unwatchable.

The one that got me recently when I tried Linux was mouse software. I couldn’t configure my mouse buttons even close to what I have on Windows (couldn’t use modifiers like shift or control on one mouse, to start), and it just felt bad.

The shield-based fighting style was also a small note that was missed in the duel between Paul and Jamis in the movie. Paul was missing what they thought were clear cuts and as a result they believed he was cruelly toying with Jamis, but it was because he was slowing his blade at the very last moment due to shield training.

Also a slightly weird moment for me as a book fan was when the thopter Duncan escaped in clearly showed that it had shields with a rock crashing off of it, but then he was being chased by lasguns immediately after.

A lot of them also adopt the dogs from the street because the dogs, too, have no home. It’s not like they’re going to a breeder and spending hundreds or thousands of dollars on a dog.

Not always. As in the case of a funeral, but certainly not exclusive to funerals, “I’m sorry,” can be an expression of sympathy without the apology for fault that we also associate with the saying.

Big agree. Glad I actually read through the whole thing. Looks like a decent case against Amazon. Let’s hope the FTC wins.

If the devs didn’t want me to reload the game, they’d have made it so I couldn’t save in conversations and combat (at the very least). Clearly they were cool with it as part of the intended play experience, so I see no reason to be apologetic about it.

The bugs, and just generally unpolished experience, especially toward the end, definitely lowered my personal score on the game, so I can see why they were worried about them. Preeeetty shitty move to delay copies because it was so unfinished toward the end of the game.

r/The_Donald definitely started as satire. But as with all communities that only allow satire, they kept going until people couldn't tell who was serious anymore and it eventually became entirely serious. Same with r/GamersRiseUp.
