Because they still think they aren't and want to pretend they aren't, they believe the law is on their side and they don't have it in them to lie to a court and/or falsify evidence that they did do it "clean room" and betray the law which they believe is on their side. Even though it actually isn't and probably never unless people get fed up enough to do what's necessary.

As if being a woman is such a horrible and disgusting thing, fuck off misogynistic pig. It's disgraceful you haven't been instance banned on your home server.

Why would they, that would be giving back to the community. They're not going to do that unless they can somehow charge the community for it.

That's true, it would likely be very noticeable with a higher quality image.

No you didn't but the main reason people get the wrong impression that downloading is legal is that it mostly goes unpunished and is very hard to enforce.

Exactly, they don't care if you're a person who needs it, they don't want anyone to use it at all.

It's crazy how good this is, it's almost exactly like a real photo. I don't think I've ever seen an AI image this realistic before.

I've definitely had this experience before. Why are people such jerks, if someone asks the rules because they aren't sure or it isn't clear just tell them the rules. It makes it feel so unwelcoming when people refuse to tell you the rules and expect you to read minds.

Not true, unpunished or hard to enforce doesn't mean it is legal.
