If I'm not mistaken, Kutcher's letter actually referenced the verdict.

TNG is a good entry point, but the first two seasons can be rough. Feel free to skip them if they're on the verge of turning you off the series entirely.

The best part is when the publisher shuts down the server on their end so the game breaks even if you are connected to the internet. I'm still waiting for Blood Dragon to get a patch to remove the periodic calls home, but it doesn't seem likely at this point

I think they were just expressing empathy. If so, I agree with that sentiment. Your family done you dirty. Hope things are better now, or shortly will be.

I really hope it will turn out that they got a bunch of useful stuff from Alex Jones' cell phone data.

To be fair, the hand wringing activities around exploding heads probably included a lot of soul searching and deciding what is and is not important to the admins. Stands to reason that having learned and made some decisions from that would make the process faster next time around.

It's not the years, honey. It's the mileage.

I still remember the first time someone told me about EverQuest. I legit thought they were trying to trick me.

15 years for me. I'm not the type to go scorched earth, so I'll still pop in briefly from time to time from a Google search or to look for something specific, but I don't use Reddit for near-constant idle browsing anymore, like I used to. Now I have Lemmy for that, although it would probably be healthier to just cut out social media altogether (or severely reduce it).

It's true, but it only applies to the stuff you don't want there anymore.

This is why I'm glad I made redundant accounts on multiple instances. When there are problems on lemmy.world, I can just hop on over to another. That's never been an option with Reddit.

Now if there was only a way to export or sync user settings like subscriptions, it would be perfect.
