Yea that RAID 1 setup seems weird to me as well. Have you looked into UnRaid? The added cache pool might be hery helpful in this instance. I see a huge peek when like the new episode of (insert popular show here) every one trying to watch it. UnRaid will move a copy to the Cache Pool automatically and in my server the cache pool is 2x RAID 0 1TB NVME drives. Its not unusual to see 8-10 users watching the same thing on my server and mone of them even hit the big spinning 10TB drives.

Right, I dont need Jet-Engine Volume dual PSU's for a home lab. My sits in the den, I replaced all the fans with Nocuta fans and Silverstone 5-Drive Hotswaps (15 Total) and now they are dead silent, I dont even notice them half of the time. Let alone there beeing 3 of them.

I am running UnRaid on both server boxes. The DB server is only running Postgress12, MariaDB, Redis, Wireguard, and my Martix chat server, all dockerized ofcorse.

I wanted it to be Low power, and have Maxium uptime. So far we are going on 2 months and not a single hiccup. CPU load hovers around 4%-20%.

Is this like r/Homelab?

Cuz if it is then lets get this going.

I got 3 servers
