I think there's no time like the present for Special Council Jack Smith to initiate recusal proceedings against Judge Aileen Cannon.

For all intents and purposes, I believe so. But one of the points that actually got a laugh in the oral arguments was how divided (ineffective) the Congress is.

I've applied for half-a-dozen private trackers, but they've all turned me down. Definitely seems counter to the entire idea of piracy IMO.

It may be the case that he intended to vote against certification, but only after the riots did he vote to certify. I can't find a vote from him to decertify, but if you can I'll throw him up there.

I know that this information is years old, but as the GOP attempts to pick their new nominee for Speaker of the House, I find it important to note that most of their potential candidates are ones who objected to the 2020 Presidential results in one or both of Arizona and Pennsylvania.

No more votes expected in the House today, with lawmakers set to reconvene at 11 a.m. Wednesday

No additional votes are expected in the House on Tuesday, closing out another day without a permanent House speaker. The House will meet at 11 a.m. (EST) Wednesday and proceed to a second ballot in an attempt to elect a speaker.

I have moved general discussion and updates to here, as this post references an article which covers only the breaking news that Republicans have failed to successfully elect a speaker with the first ballot.

It may not be the Jan 6th indictment birthday present I was hoping for, but further obstruction counts is fine I suppose!

It's no surprise that Smith identified Trump as a target of the investigation, but it's a sign that the probe is wrapping up and indictments may be issued as early as Friday.

(I swear I posted this earlier today but whatever)

It's no surprise that Smith has identified Trump as a target of the probe, but it shows that the probe is wrapping up and charges have been considered. We may very well see 3 indictments (2 more) by the end of the summer.
