Very nice, readable and aesthetically pleasing. I particularly like the mobile-width view.

In my opinion, it's about both the databases and the hardware. Specifically if/when always-on cameras become socially acceptable to wear in public, then facial databases can be utilised.

Presently, I don't think it's socially acceptable to always be pointing a phone's camera at someone.

Someone asked what the fov was. Even if the product is vaporware, the specs are still valid for the prototype.

I even mentioned that MRTV can get excited so that people temper their expectations. And I didn't try to refute anyone else's claims.

I think you're being unnecessarily guarded.

Regardless of the specs, I don't think anyone should be slapping money down for pre-order.

Sebastian from MRTV does get excited about new products but he mentions a few comparisons and opinions.

I don't mean to hype but he says:

  • Higher fov than Apple vision pro and similar fov to Pico 4 and ultra. Estimates around 100ish horizontally and 100 vertically
  • Very comfortable, super light
  • Very good picture. Sharpest picture he's seen in VR, period. Sharper than AVP, XR4.
  • Better binocular overlap than AVP and Bigscreen Beyond
  • Super clear pancake lenses. Don't see any glare but not enough contrast in the scene to test it
  • He asked if it could go brighter but the guy said they haven't added that yet. Not as bright as AVP. Some brightness lost at very edges.

He says he's doing a more in depth test "tomorrow" but that video isn't up yet on YouTube afaik. I think he'll reply on discord/patreon if you ask him questions.

As well as Xbox and Switch according to the trailer

You could play Ghost Recon: Wildlands or try some of the older Ghost Recon or Delta force games. Some of the weapons on offer are older in it.

There's a tag on Steam named coop campaign that might help find a few for you. I saw a real time tactics game called War Mongrels that might be of interest though it's obviously not a shooter.

Also, obviously there's "hell let loose" but it's not a campaign experience

I've only finished the demo but this is quite a beautiful and charming puzzle adventure and it's worth checking out if that's your thing.

It's also available with a Netflix subscription on mobile and the controls are pretty decent for mobile/touchscreen due to the way movement works in the game.

If you're unsure about it and don't have Netflix, then check out the demo on steam (I'm assuming it's still available).

I would say that I enjoyed controlling it slightly more with a controller/dpad.

I recently discovered shadow tactics which has similar mechanics but with a samurai theme. Quite a cool game.

There is also the more recently released shadow gambit which has a pirate theme.
