It's totally possible and it already exists. You train your immune system (that's the complicated part, you have to feed it some part of cancer cells and make it understan that's the bad guys. Which is very complicated) to fight the cancerous cells.

Let's not firget there are around 300 families of cancer and there isn't any vaccine against all of them obviously.

That said, from russia it is obvious bs.

My instance is working well on 0.19.2 finally with the caveat that it (still) need a daily reboot (docker).

So yes I think it's wise to wait a bit more.

New macbook Pro doesnt even have 16GB?? Do they come with a 32GB SSD too?

[–] Valmond@beehaw.org 3 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Yep, browsing, developing, listening to music all alright on 8GB, could probably run on even 4.

[–] Valmond@beehaw.org 4 points 9 months ago

Well you'll need X GB to use a X GB file whatever the OS, here windows seems to need 16 just to run which is quite ridiculous.

Oh not joy, Fake joy!

Hang in there OP, I left the company I worked for early last year for reasons like that. Sure isn't the easiest thing to do (x-gen here) but I feel like it's always ^tm^ a good solution when your job sucks(the soul out of you).

Yeah sure is, but hopefully it's the new wave of stuff and we'll sort it out (it sure feels like this new shiny drug IMO), like with work from home and less bureaucracy I guess. Hope for. 😊

Alternatively they'll shift it out.

Alt, CTRL, SHIFT isnt enough?

Plus the stupid Windows key.

Yeah that's definitely some crappy wInDoWs bs.

Yeah there were comics or some 180 pages catalogue, or even a "porny mag" (no sex, some titties or the one big flash) in the bunch of stuff.

People were all alone at almost all times so people did a bit of anything whenever they felt like it.

It was a crazy time compared to now in that manner, like you'd walk home and no one would worry if you weren't like one or two hours late. Meeting up? Other is 1h late? Yeah there were probably some problem (it happened to all of us), or they decided to not come...

So I had my café where I went, you met those who made it :-)

Ha ha went off the rails there, cheers & good night from the EU!

Yeah gen-x here, at the beginning there were nothing.

Then I got this "home computer" with the blazing speed at 1MHz (yeah, 0.001GHz and quite unoptimized) bringing me wonders above comprehension.

And then it got faster, better, bigger, smaller, over and over and over ... It felt crazy whaen anything doubled like speed, memory, discs, screen resolution, internet speed, ...

I feel todays computers are more than enough (except for research basically) and that was a crazy arc, from nothing to basic completeness.

Well that's how I feel it anyways 💖

Hello!

I'm looking for some place where information about installing Lemmy could be found, but also added.

There seems to be some quirks (like if you don't have the mail setup correctly you cannot log in, or the nix sockets are read only etc.)

So instead of asking for help with my specific problem (I managed a couple then got stuck) I think the best way would be to have a sub-lemmy somewhere (for example) where people who want to try to install Lemmy can discuss and help eachothers.

Thoughts?
