@kde@floss.social @kde@lemmy.kde.social I've noticed that the problem was the version of kup-backup that Kubuntu 24.10 preinstalls from its repositories. The version compatible with Plasma 6 is in the kubuntu-backports PPA.

@kde@floss.social @kde@lemmy.kde.social Hey, do you know anything about whether kup-backup will be ported to Qt6? Will we have it available again for our backups in KDE Plasma 6 or will we have to look for alternatives?

@JGrffn @m3t00 That is why it is best to try to ensure that as many components as possible are all from the same manufacturer, because generally their respective software allows you to control all your brand devices from a single application.
