Also perfectly fine, I just prefer the features the uYouPlus app offers. It’s not only ad blocking, but also sponsor blocking, pop out player, background playback, reordering tabs (so I can remove the annoying shorts tab), and a bunch more.

I use Signtunes with uYouPlusExtra (on GitHub). This does not require a computer, but will cost you 10-15$ yearly to sideload without a computer. But Apple will allow sideloading SoonTM, so it might become free.

uYouPlus is no longer being actively developed, uYouPlusExtra is a fork under active development.

Haha,

According to 16personalities that is my personality. Never thought I’d see this here.

I came across this website thanks to someone sharing it here, so I thought I’d do the same: https://fmhy.pages.dev/storage/#youtube-frontends

I now use Waveform from Tracktion. Not open source, but all must have features are free. And supports linux, mac, and Windows.

However, if you’re used to Ableton Live, you’re probably better off using that. Good luck on your adventure pirate!

As well as Microsoft

And for iOS I can recommend uYouPlus (https://github.com/qnblackcat/uYouPlus). The cheapest way to sideload it is using AltStore. But there are other services which offer sideloading on device, these don’t require a computer.

That’s when I search on Lemmy, Reddit, YouTube, or Looria. Worst case, I ask Bing Chat to find some recommendations and reviews for me.

I use WebTorrent nowadays, since it allows you to stream torrents. But before that, I also used qBittorrent, great application.

Hi there,

First of all, a little backstory. Three to four years ago I got into Hi-Fi audio because of Reddit advice from people. I bought the HD6XX with the JDS Labs Atom stack. And I am still in love with them to this day. I have been working in the summer holiday as a software developer at the company I did my internship at, which left me with some spare money. My mother’s birthday was coming up so I wanted to surprise her with a speaker setup for the living room. Did quite some research in the past couple of weeks, and discussed the idea with her on her birthday. I showed her some different speakers and asked her what her preferences were. She liked the Q350, LS50 Metas and the Klipsch RP 6000F purely based on design.

Forward to today, I saw a great second hand deal pop up, which allowed me to get a pair of metas, in near brand new condition, for €850. So after checking the history of the seller, I bought them.

I want to pair them with a nice amplifier/receiver that doesn’t color the sound too much (or at all). I’ve done some research and found some options that might be suitable. Based on what others use and specifications. (Min. of 2.1 channels, for a subwoofer in the future, min. 50W output per channel, etc.)

  • Yamaha A-S501
  • Yamaha A-S301
  • Fosi Audio V3

But I was wondering if people here could help me make a decision, or suggest some other suitable Amps/Receivers that I haven’t listed, preferably under €500.
