Marietta is doing a study on the Mountain to River (M2R) trail and seeks the community’s input.  Saturday, 11/19/23, City staff will meet with interested citizens at Sessions Stand at 397 Sessions St. from 10am–1pm.

The city also has an online survey for feedback: https://arcg.is/18101L0.

I submitted feedback for the stretch along Atlanta St along Dobbins Air Base. That stretch sucks and is totally bleak.

I’m loving mine but no idea about the SE. you might want to ask around on this forum: https://www.z900rs.co.uk/

Pop’s Coffee shop is part of the Triumph shop in Roswell, GA just north of Atlanta in the US. It’s pretty cool.

I don’t understand your comment. I have found SMART recovery to be free, running off of donations and volunteers. They also sell a few books at a reasonable cost. The only money I have ever spent is donating a few dollars after attending some Family & Friends meetings, and I bought the workbook for something like less than $20.

Another secular alternative is SMART recovery. They have group meetings in-person and online as well as a Family & Friends program. https://www.smartrecovery.org/

Some interesting moto films for this upcoming film fest in the US. The films in this link were intended for public vote, but it seems the voting deadline has passed. I got this link from an email from Triumph

I picked up a book on the visual history of cars and page one starts off by describing how old man Daimler installed his engine on a bike to demonstrate his internal combustion engine.

The YouTube algorithm served this up for me yesterday and I’m thinking I could really use something like this here in the US. Any of you all riders out in the UK ever heard of mhmotorbike or participated? Seems like lately my big Zed is the only thing keeping me from totally losing it.

Here’s their website, looks like a fairly new organization in the UK

I feel lucky i never felt the need to block anything other than one year in middle school I had our entire Wi-Fi router shut off around 11pm for a couple of hours. That only lasted a couple of months.
If anything I’m relieved that don’t have to deal with the whole Parent Account with Child sub accounts. That whole set up is poorly implemented by Sony/PS in my experience… navigating the menus and accounts was torture over the years

It’s bittersweet

Oops I forgot temporary.

I just found this tutorial and tried it and it works. I had to create two shortcuts, one for OFF and the other for ON

https://lifehacker.com/use-this-one-tap-shortcut-to-actually-turn-off-wifi-and-1849318943

/// Edit /// There is a Toggle option in the Set Bluetooth action which allows for a single shortcut instead of two distinct On/Off

I just turn mine off from the control center menu, swipe down from top right corner. It’s already so simple, why is a shortcut needed at all?

Wow it never occurred to me that it was/could-be formally defined in economics terms… but I’ve never studied economics. However, I am aware that is as known as The-dismal-science tho

Hmm that is an interesting take

Good point, I should reword the question. I don’t see it as every transaction is exploitative. But there is some kind of spectrum and I’m trying to understand where do I draw that line/range that separates good from bad. I’m curious to hear other people’s opinions.

Ha wow that sounds expensive (and potentially toxic?) I wonder how the cost compares to common wood fence stain

[–] bayport@yall.theatl.social 4 points 1 year ago

That’s a pretty good hypothesis 🤔
