@baduhai @kde because the version number follow the date. So if you are running 24.02.5 (published around May 2024) in 2026 something is wrong :)

@Corb_The_Lesser @kde @kde@lemmy.kde.social yeah the new wizard had to be completely rewritten for Qt6 and still requires a bit of work and testing with various email providers. ๐Ÿ˜”

@leopold @riodoro1 it wasn't a gnome app, but a gtk gnu app.

@kellyaster @Bro666 Pretty hungry but I'm cooking a ratatouille right now to fix this issue :)

@shaan7 @kde @kde@lemmy.kde.social You go to Fosdem or the next Akademy, and you buy one :)

@zygoon @kde@lemmy.kde.social @kde kernel 3.10 was released more than 10 years ago and received a last update in 2017. Is that really a kernel still used in the wild?

Looking at https://lxr.kde.org/search?%21v=kf5-qt5&_filestring=&_string=sched.h, KDE does not do a clone3 directly. It's likely done by a dependency of Plasma :( But I might be wrong as I'm definitively not an expert in syscall

@parens @troyunrau Exactly, it took me 5 years from my first contribution to finally getting hired full time to work on some KDE and KDE related open source code. And I'm very prolific in term of contributions (https://invent.kde.org/carlschwan).

It's quite an issue to get money, the current budget KDE e.V. has is around 200 000โ‚ฌ a year and that pays for a few part time employees. I'm lucky that I found a company interested in developing a commercial open source project based on KDE (gnupg/g10 code).

@troyunrau @leopold We now create .exe and .appx for each app using Craft. The ultimate goal is to automatically submit the job artifact when releasing to the microsoft store https://blogs.kde.org/2023/12/20/gitlab-microsoft-store

We also do the same for some app for submitting to our own F-Droid repo on Android.
