Just make it consistent. There are so many buttons, etc. with different styles, layouts, etc.

why not completely black?

I know. Maybe I die too often, but it’s still the beginning :)

I mean going through your own room, Hades, etc. until you get to slashing again

Maybe it is me but I find it tiresome that whenever you die you have to go through all those rooms to start again - is there a shortcut?

True, I have not specified it. Yes, I mean the desktop mode.

Thank you for the explanation. I run everything at 100% then until SteamOS desktop mode also switches to Wayland.

Would be a helpful feature. I can imagine that this could be easily solved with a settings toggle or in the UEFI.

When connecting the Steam Deck to a HiDPI monitor, I would like to have the scaling set to 150%. However, this scaling does also apply to the Steam Deck.

Is there a way to decouple the two scaling percentages in order to have 100% on the Steam Deck’s screen and 150% on the HiDPI monitor? Thanks.

Edit: Talking about desktop mode.

That is interesting… does this have an impact on performance? Or maybe having less stutter or Freesync with Wayland?

Is the performance for docked games better in game mode or desktop mode? Let’s say CS:GO - would the performance (docked) be better in game mode (resolution set in properties to 1080p) or desktop mode (1080p)? Thanks.

How do you use your Steam Deck docked?

Isn‘t Safari‘s WebKit the origin of Chromium‘s Blink 😉

For Mac users have a look at Subtler

What filesystem is currently best for a single nvme drive with regard to performance read/write as well as stability/no file loss? ext4 seems very old, btrfs is used by RHEL, ZFS seems to be quite good... what do people tend to use nowadays? What is an arch users go-to filesystem?

  • Does the Steam Deck use PWM for the screen? Does the screen flicker?
  • While gaming, is there some kind of screen tearing or is there some kind of VRR/Freesync being used? Otherwise, what settings do you use to avoid screen tearing (FPS locking, etc.)?

Thanks!

I have been out of the loop for a while with the development of Linux/GNU based OSes on phones. However, with seeing how companies (like reddit) can change the rules as they wish, I want to see if completely switching to Linux is possible.

Long story short… what are the current phone providers that have Linux as an OS, or what is the best way to run Linux on an off-the-shelf phone?

As a side-question, is Nextcloud still the next best option for a complete service alternative to Google/iCloud?

Thank you!

Could we get a new icon for the community that is maybe a square so that it is not stretched? Thanks mod :)
