Wine = Wine is not an Emulator

It's a compatibility layer.

Your files are still fully visible to the Malware so if it is trying for example to encrypt all of them it can. If it targets smth like System32 then you would be safe since that would only affect wine and apps running under it. So depends on the Type of Malware.

Edit: Most Malware Target the entire System so exes are a danger for Linux when using WINE

Kaspersky is owned by a Russian company which subject to interference of the Russian government. This allows the government to inject code, knowingly or unknowingly to the Company, into the project.

You aren't wrong, as long you stay in the Influence Area of the Cities you would at most find people who will Ignore you. There are a few outliers and I wouldnt recommend advertising it if you go to the countryside. But most people here are actually really Nice just a bit Conservative and Old fashioned.

I personally find Gnome works best on Laptops using the Touch pad with its Gesture controlls. But yeah there are things like the missing application tray that can be annoying which can only be added with extensions. Which is annoying again. So pure Gnome is the bare minimum and can work, but with extensions it can bekomm extremely good. In my opinion.
