I installed Ubuntu about 15 years ago and my Dad thought it was the new Windows. Had far fewer problems with it, but he kept hitting random keys and causing the most amazing errors. I just heard about EndlessOS which seems perfect for old folks.

Article written to make you subscribe. Not sure if I’m more annoyed or impressed.

Those channels give the burrito moisture somewhere to go so the tortilla stays dry. 👍

Seems like it might be helpful to prevent people from escaping the work prisons we’ll all be toiling in one day. 🤣

(Was that too dark?) Super-cool tech, though. 👍

Yeah, I dunno if I’d trust Deloitte about anything, not to sh!t on PIA’s tech which I have no knowledge of.

I always use it. Writing is about communication, so it’s your duty to make sure a reader understands how to interpret what you wrote. That said, when I speak to someone, I NEVER use the Oxford comma.

I finally realized that Americans buy for edge-case scenarios. Well, I might go off-road someday. Or I might need to haul something big someday. Same with houses. I might have six friends over for a month someday, so I should buy a house that will mostly sit unused until then. Instead, we should buy for what we actually use, then rent something for the rare occasion when what we have isn’t enough. We’d save a fortune, and not waste so much energy. 🙄

I’ve been on both Finasteride (prevents hair loss) and Minoxidil (grows hair) for decades, without noticeable ill effects. Very effective combo. 👍

I love Digikam, but fixing photos is a lot of work. So I use Luminar NEO to get looks that would take hours I don’t want to spend. Is there an open source alternative to Neo? Something that supports LUTs, presets, etc? Thx.

Yes, that. That’s a better explanation of the problem. Thanks. The shower is way on the other side of the house and up a floor.

It takes a few minutes for my tankless water heater to warm up, so we end up wasting a lot of water in our shower. Is there a way to avoid this? A friend mentioned a “comfort valve” or something? What is it and how does it work? Or is there another solution? Thx!

Florida’s Sunshine Laws just make their trash public. I shudder to think what happens in Alabama without our knowledge. 😬😬😬

It’s a huge improvement over Mosaic.

Not surprising, that logo wasn’t breaking any new design ground.
