Tofu is not a meat substitute.

Correct, however I believe it has been commonly accepted as a such because of its protein content... just clarifying what I think people mean here

I'm all in for reducing beef consumption, not just because of the green aspect but also health... having said that, this is yet another fool's errand the masses have been set to follow:

  1. we could curve global beef consumption significantly by realign massive sectors of the supply chain, agriculture and education OR
  2. we could get rid of the Kardashian (sp?) that likes to take private jet hops to avoid minutes of traffic

It certainly doesn't warrant the high rating on RT. But it's entertaining, engaging, visually stimulating and a fantastic adaptation of the games

Which is it? because an entertaining engaging, visually stimulating show which is also a fantastic adaptation of its source material should have a good rating

I've basically given up on ratings and threads about ratings because every idiot thinking they sound bright, reduce everything to either "best ever, Jebus herself couldn't make it better" or "dog shit that will make you pray for cancer to take your disappointment away"

PS: not referring to you (person I'm replying to) when taking about idiots that polarize everything... Referring in general to polarizers (that's a word, right?)

Yes that part makes more sense (hence why I did not attack it)

But adding, not even adding, fronting the argument with completely unrelated bs tells you all you need about the honesty of this analysis

Not even.... If the entire point was to maximize profit for shareholders, we would see you he obscene compensation packages for C-suite execs or ridiculously luxurious perks for board members, etc

This has just been the excuse to do away with ethics and morals.... And repeating this is "the way it has to be" just makes it easier for them

Being publicly traded does not force companies to become greedy, immoral scum... Stop spreading this piece of misinformation

https://www.nytimes.com/roomfordebate/2015/04/16/what-are-corporations-obligations-to-shareholders/corporations-dont-have-to-maximize-profits

PS: this goes hand in hand with the "you got to be an asshole to succeed"... You don't, the problem is that most people can't find anything else to imitate

Well that's selective biased if I ever saw one....

The federal government hired a bunch of people, to gauge if that is good they go to the public with a survey (already a terribly inaccurate way to measure)... Then the results are abysmal since people complain (with reason) about health care services <- that's provincial jurisdiction, NOTHING AT ALL, to do with the federal government hiring people

And they expect a subscription payment to read this biased garbage?

And the thing is that the USA could have reinvested some of the profit (when China was cheap) to advance new industries and tech. Instead, they just padded the bank accounts and are now in a position where they are not competitive anymore ("as" competitive)

How dare they???!!
