I’m the meantime, if you fire a rocket at another country, it’s going to get blown up no matter where it is.

You know this goes two ways, right? Right?!?

You know both Hezbollah & Hamas exist today because of Israel. If Israel had found a solution to peacefully co-exist with their neighbors, we wouldn't be here today commenting on this article. Israel has historically used disproportionate measures toward, anyone who opposes it. Just look at the graph of rockets fired by Hezbollah or Hamas vs those fired by Israel, and mind you none of them have an iron dome to protect their civilians and still Israel is playing the victimhood card.

The only way to bring long-lasting peace would be for Israel to grant Palestinians civil rights, and start treating them fairly, and not build plenty of checkpoints, and walls, and evict them, practically making their lives miserable. It is kind of sad, that all this is coming from a nation that was oppressed so much during the years, but yes, they seem to have learned nothing from their own history.

But she also didn't attend Netanyahu's speech and actually has been quite critical of the war in Gaza. But yes, don't expect miracles. I still think she will be more critical of the Israelian government and whether this leads to a ceasefire or not is to be seen.

But in any case she will be harder on them than Trump, who moved the US embassy to Jerusalem during his presidency and offered the "peace deal of the century". https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trump_peace_plan#:~:text=The%20stated%20purpose%20of%20the,both%20parties%20to%20the%20conflict.

Unfortunately this latest conflict simply shows that money is the biggest factor in an armed conflict. That rich nations can afford the most technologically advanced weapons and overpower almost any other nations and even influence the narrative.

We as humanity are heading towards a very dark and dystopian future, where the divide between rich and poor would be even starker and that's really worrying. I hope I am wrong though, I hope we find a way to live together without killing and hating each other but I kind of doubt it.

Even if you open the device, this explosive was implanted directly into the battery pack, and unless you want to tear down your battery pack or simply replace it immediately after purchasing this product it won't save you.

Regarding libraries, this is such a socialist idea, that enriches society and educates the people. I wonder why no one thought to defund them, because think of the lost profits for companies like Amazon, etc. /s

In a way WWI fueled the dissatisfaction of regular Germans and led to the rise of the Nazi party. Without the treaty of Versailles, most likely WWII would have never happened. So yes, you always need to consider the context.

And yes, the normal reaction of human beings of their struggles caused by others is to create resistance movements, so in a way, if you remove those struggles, the terrorism and resistance movements will die down. Because there is not a single prosperous country with an active and strong terrorist organisation. And yes, people inherently are the same, everywhere in the world.

And our goal as humanity is to preserve the humane part.

Did you not know that Israel kills civilians, and guess what, Israel is responsible for the killing of a lot more civilians than Hezbollah and Hamas together. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Children_in_the_Israeli%E2%80%93Palestinian_conflict#:~:text=According%20to%20B'tselem's,been%20killed%20by%20Palestinian%20forces.

So it is very disputable if Israel has the moral high ground on this.

Unfortunately those Israelis are just a tiny fraction. The majority fully support the war efforts. This is what's happening after a concerted effort to dehumanize Palestinians.

According to Israel every adult male is a terrorist. Remember they are even using AI to target them. And if I remember correctly around 20K are the kids and women killed. So I hardly doubt that the number of Hamas fighters is so high.

You know we will never know what their ratio is, because Israel can claim whatever they want without providing proof that those killed were indeed terrorists. You remember them killing their own hostages or the FCK? This simply shows how indiscriminate they are in the killings and how little they care about civilian casualties.

And remind me if any of their soldiers actually get an effective sentence for committing a grave offence.

Did you even read the article, or simply trolling?

Who started this war is very debatable. Because historically speaking this is just the latest stage of violence in the region.

The identified people include 169 babies born after the Hamas attacks of 7 October that began the war, and a man born in 1922 who had survived more than a century of war and upheaval. More than 100 pages are filled with the names of victims under 10 years old, and the first adult names do not appear until page 215.

Is there any immutable distro that's based on Hyprland? I really like their approach to tiling, but at the same time I prefer to have a solid experience without worrying that the next update might break some dependencies.

I am anxiously following the real estate market and prices are far outpacing the wage growth, making real estate really unaffordable for a lot of people, and yet there is very little political will from politicians to do anything about it.

This is especially true for desirable areas and big cities, and slowly pushing low earners to the outskirts and even outside towns. I know plenty of people who hoarded multiple properties and now they simply rent them through Airbnb or booking not to mention big corporations trying to snap even more and rent them at outrageous prices. While plenty of people cannot afford even rent in those cities.

Mind you I am not US based, but I know that this is pretty much a world phenomenon for quite a few years who got really accelerated by the COVID pandemic, but its effect will cripple future generations severely who will never be able to purchase their own roof over their head and they will forever be stuck with ever increasing rents increasing enormously the financial burden of those people.

I don't know for you but I believe this is completely unsustainable in the long term and this will become an even bigger problem in the future and I wonder why there is so little done to tackle the problem now, and what are those politicians hope, that this will magically disappear tomorrow and all will be roses?

Why aren't universally some laws against home flipping and people owning more than one residential property? I think the right of having a roof over your head is a basic human right and every person out there deserves to have a decent home and not be forced to live on the street.

I really enjoy Firefox on Android as I can install a bunch of extensions and I find those extensions game changer, especially on the mobile.

One of my favorites are

  • Libredirect - literally one of my favorite ones. Redirects popular sites to privacy focused frontends, like YouTube to Invidious, etc.
  • uBlock Origin - I guess everyone knows this one
  • Privacy Badger - blocks trackers
  • Ghostery - blocks trackers, ads, scripts, etc.

What extensions do you guys use?
