You can add another revision of nixpkgs as a flake input and use that revision for certain packages. Its not as ergonomic as in Arch (even though they officially dont support partial upgrades). But its still possible and having a stable and unstable flake input usually does the job for me.

NixOS lets you update just what you want, when you want, and it even lets you roll them back at any time.

I update every single day AND my computer always works.

So instead of multiple providers tracking people all the time there will be a single company doing it, but it's okay because I should trust them for what reason? Why wouldn't tracking companies just use their own tracking on top of this new technology?

Patents shouldn't be valid for more than 5 years imo. If you can't make a large enough profit from your idea in 5 years maybe it wasn't that good or original.

 

I just want to kill some time, I like simple arcade style games that aren't using scummy corporate sales tactics to get me to play every day
