I ended up adding 10 cherry shrimp with plants they can hide in. When shrimp reproduce, they go for the quantity strategy, so they have a lot of babies in the hope that some survive. Some of these babies get eaten by the fish. A nice bonus is that the shrimp eat food leftovers and algae.

As for creating stability, I do daily 10% water changes, as I don't have room for a large filter. Something more complex will require a larger tank.

It does work, but changing DNS doesn't solve the issue unfortunately

I had this one time when I looked at my hand and freaked out because I had 5 fingers when I expected 4.

I also typed those in a separate command window

Do you have a custom DNS set up on your Fedora machine or the router by chance?

No, The DNS is set to automatic. And: ipv4 and ipv6 are set to automatic (DHCP), and automatic respectively.

[–] heartbreaker@lemmy.world 5 points 5 days ago (1 children)

I have been on Linux for like half a year now, started with linux Mint, switched to Plasma for a proper clipboard manager, and switched again to Fedora for performance.
and one thing I can tell you: If you need to do professional-level stuff you will need windows.

And also don't switch to Fedora (you need extensions to do some basic stuff, and because of Wayland not everything works easily (e.g activity watch))

On startup of my laptop, all wifi networks are detected, my laptop connects to the wifi, but I don't have internet and get wifi with a question mark icon.

Upon running the following command I have immediately an internet connection: resolvectl --no-pager status

Does anybody have a clue what is going on, and how to resolve it?
I am running Fedora Linux 40 (Workstation Edition) firmware Version 2.29 DNS4, DNS6 : Automatic

Edit: updated to fedora 41, and the issue seems to be resolved for now

I am honestly not sure if it is Biden's decision after I saw how cooked his brains were. More likely he just read whatever his party/vice president decided.

How so? This was much more common in the past. It’s become much less of the norm since we have international instituations like the UN.

So it's not the norm, it is becoming the norm. you answered it yourself.

right, but this isn’t !aboringdystopia@lemmy.world. And I don’t think it’s onion-y.

My comment is not the post, the post is onion-y

They are funded by and acting in the interest of Iran. But it wouldn’t really change anything if they were local. It still means the government is only partially in control of the country.

This makes no sense.

It is not the norm, it is becoming the norm. Nothing to shrug about, it is quite dystopian.
And how is Hezbollah not a local military? As far as I know, they have existed before the Iranian revolution.

Can I cultivate live food in the same tank as my Endler guppy? (I plan on adding other fish in the future). I have read that it is not smart to grow daphnia as they reproduce very quickly and outcompete for oxygen.

So is it possible to breed live food in the same tank to create some kind of biome, maybe with some other species? (Monia, fairy shrimp, Rotifer Brachionus)

This release marks the completion of the 0.6.x roadmap. Next up we'll be working through the items on the 0.7.x roadmap. For this release the major features are a new auto-evo algorithm based on miches that should generate much better AI species, and there's now a convolution surface algorithm which gives macroscopic creatures a "skin" in the prototypes. There's also a lot of smaller new features and tweaks to the microbe stage as usual. The last roadmap items to be completed where engulfing balancing and fixing as well as allowing continuing as a related species in easy mode.

Discord announcement Since the last anniversary update a lot has been added to the project to setup a strong foundation for building gameplay features on. In February <@397824651696537612> created a sleek launcher for LTR which installs and updates the game. Also in February <@397824651696537612> created a blog for more in-depth information on specific systems & updates. Back in April we created a game design doc which will be used to help prevent scope creep as well as work as a reference for prioritizing feature development in the future. We are on track to begin work on gameplay features starting next year.
