I sent a message to a mod on blahaj.zone about the Lemmy instance and it appears to be back up today.

Thanks for the clarification. I'm still new to the inner workings of all of this. That explains why my login will only work on one but not the other.

I've been trying to register for an account for lemmy.blahaj.zone. On my PC, the only thing I can find is an instance titled blahaj.zone. I tried signing up for that and it worked, but the site is this weird Tumblr knockoff instead of what I'm used to with instances and communities. I have no idea how to navigate this thing. Where the hell are all the communities??? Why is it just users posting stuff to their followers???

Is lemmy.blahaj.zone affiliated with blahaj.zone? If not, why can't I access lemmy.blahaj.zone on my computer? I am posting on jeroba for Lemmy on my phone since that is the only place that's letting me access lemmy.blahaj.zone (but won't let me log on with the account I made on blahaj.zone on my computer).

Can someone help me with this/explain what's going on? I'm very confused.

Thanks.

EDIT: Lemmy.blahaj.zone is back up. Horray

Thank you. I appreciate your comment. I'm very invested in solarpunk, and would give anything to see a solarpunk world come to fruition. Without addressing the challenges and finding solutions, our movement will not be as effective. I'm happy that this discussion got a lot of engagement (by lemmy standards) and got people thinking.

Goldenrod is a useful plant, and is numerous in the eastern United states.

Uses:

Field goldenrod:

-Treating jaundice

-Incense (has a perfumey scent, would recommend)

-Is a nitrogen fixer

European goldenrod:

-Urinary health

-Reducing inflammation

-Can prevent yeast infections

-Rich in antioxidants

As a Southerner I find this hilarious.

Okay, on a slight tangent but I was wondering what the difference between social ecology and human ecology is. I hear a lot about social ecology in these circles and a lot about human ecology in different circles. I'm assuming they're related, but are they interchangeable?

I'm curious what makes milk bad for you. Could someone explain this? I understand why it is bad for the climate, but not why it's bad for human health provided you can digest lactose properly.

I was wondering if y'all have some YouTube or podcast recommendations for solarpunk creators.

This is very helpful. Thanks.

I don't mind using wired, guess the main problem is if it's able to withstand the occasional jerking/dropping out of my pocket. Any particular sennheiser model you recommend, or just any I can get my hands on?

I actually just had a pair of Sony WH-1000XM3 that lasted me a while, but just broke. The body itself has been falling apart in more and more places. Better than most I've had, anyhow. I'm gonna try to repair it for the 3rd time, but its time is limited now. RIP.

That's a bummer with the Bluetooth thing. The main thing that's broken with all my pairs of Bluetooth headphones is the body of the headphone itself. Guess the battery wouldn't have lasted much longer anyway.

I'll look into those sennheisers.

I'm looking for some BIFL over ear (wireless Bluetooth, since I'm always breaking the wires by accident) headphones.

I haven't had much luck with the earbud things. They're always falling out unless I put them in real well. I want something you can just put in and forget about. Something good for working in the field, running, etc.

It's annoying to have a pair of headphones you really like, only for them to break around the two year mark. Seems like nothing lasts these days.

I'd be willing to pay up to $200, but do tend to buy most things used.

Thanks.

I've been at war with Privet. No matter what I do, the little bugger comes back in full force. How do I get rid of this relentless plant for good?
