they could have gone through by Czechia spanking Turkey hard, but as it stands Georgia is winning so Hungary is out.

yeah, with Hungary's win and Croatia's draw it made it rather easy for other teams to know what will be enough.

Honestly I don't know if a 3rd vs 2nd playoff would make it better, or if having 32 teams and 8 weaker teams added is better.

I think at least the tie breaker for 3rd teams should reward wins higher than 3 draws. it's really stupid that you can park the bus for 3 games and play anti-football and be rewarded for it because 3 pts and 0 gd is likely good enough.

oh and let's not forget that now one side of the bracket will be absolutely stacked with Germany, Portugal, Spain, France and possibly Belgium all on the same side

Pizza prices shot through the roof and I honestly can't say they are better than throwing a frozen pizza with some mozzarella added into the oven for less than half the total price. I don't think I have made photos, but I legit had "pizzas" where the outer 2-3 inches had no toppings, just tomato sauce burnt onto the dough.

this is central europe so frozen pizza is between 2-4 euros, 1 euro for mozzarella vs 8-10 euros for take out pizza.

it's also a lesser serving, so healthier.

if you have your gps on in your pocket, what difference does it make whether Uber/Lyft is tracking you or Google/Apple?

assuming of course you are looking at your map, which is either google maps, waze or apple maps

24 teams killed these last two games, both Denmark and Slovenia only had to play for a draw.

England being absolutely wank didn't help either

with this result, all teams on 4 points have qualified for RO16 -> England, France, Netherlands

[-] kameecoding@lemmy.world 2 points 6 days ago

well, this is so far the worst case scenario for Hungary.

Manchester United have been forced to expedite their managerial contingency plans in the wake of Mauricio Pochettino’s departure from Chelsea with the two clubs holding an interest in some of the same targets.

Chelsea have narrowed their search for Pochettino’s successor to four coaches, with Enzo Maresca, Kieran McKenna, Thomas Frank and an unnamed candidate all making the club’s shortlist.

With Chelsea hoping to be in a position to make an appointment by the start of next month, if not earlier, as sporting directors Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart work around the clock to secure a new manager, the situation has forced United’s hand to some extent.

United maintain that they have yet to make a final decision on the future of Erik ten Hag but his position appears increasingly untenable and it is understood that the club have been sounding out potential replacements in the event they sack the Dutchman after Saturday’s FA Cup final against Manchester City at Wembley.

Like Chelsea, United are also believed to hold an interest in McKenna, their former first-team coach who has just led Ipswich Town into the Premier League after back to back promotions and is also interesting Brighton, and Brentford manager Frank. Informal discussions are thought to have been held with their representatives this week in addition to those of other potential targets including Thomas Tuchel and Pochettino himself.

Ten Hag sidestepped questions about his future at his press conference on Thursday ahead of the Cup final and the outcome of that game is not expected to determine the course of action United take.
