Talking a big game but you're only really healthy if you can accept the good and the bad for what it is.

| China though has a better democracy than the US.

Anyone in the US can try to be elected, in China the government chooses who can be elected. Equal representation is a cornerstone of democracy.

Whatever the content of your post I'd recommend taking a break from politics for a while. Take care of yourself fellow man.

I was lemmy only for a couple weeks but now I'm 50/50. I'd say overall my time on social media is way down, and I'm still not commenting/posting on reddit at all.

I prefer spending time here, but reddit still has most of the content I want.

I'd say that's part of the reason I still go back to reddit. It's so easy to pull up any community and be signed in. With lemmy it's a hassle.

The instance I'm on (eg smaller ones) doesn't defederate. I see everything. lemmy.ml, beehaw, lemmynsfw. .world isn't a great instance to home account on. They've already blocked like 30 instances https://lemmy.world/instances

Some people think of politics as a circle instead of a spectrum, if that's what you mean.

From what I can tell gay people are getting a lot of hate sent their way lately. Didn't someone just get shot and killed for having a pride flag.

3 years between movies.. ouch. The first movie didn't have enough heart in it for me I'm hoping part 2 improves on that, but I feel like most but not all of Villeneuves movies are more cerebral than emotional.
