As I understand it, any browser on iPhone has to be built on WebKit, so even if you install fire fox or chrome, it’s running on a totally different web engine than the desktop version. Making them more safari re-skins in the same way that stuff like brave or opera are just chrome reskins.

some people stick with safari, but no one is replacing chrome, fire fox, or edge with safari. People choose to replace edge because it is obtrusive and annoying to use, safari isn’t.

In that context, safari is not a competitor for Firefox in the same way chrome is. It’s comparing apples to oranges.

I don’t think safari is even remotely comparable given that it’s a default browser on macs.

He absolutely talked about the sites numbers being artificially high due to bots when he was buying it, even tried to use it to get out of the legal obligation to buy it.

We’ve also seen his gutting of the moderation system cause a huge influx of bots and bot interactions, not to mention other stuff that advertisers don’t want their ads to be next to.

Like he really has played him self and is having a temper tantrum at having to face the consequences of his own actions.

It’s even worse than that.

It’s like he bought another kids lemonade stand while claiming the other kid was pissing in the jug to make it look like they had more.

Then pissing in the jug in full view of everyone else to make it look like he had more.

And then tried to sue passers by for not buying his piss filled lemonade.

Piss being bots and spam accounts, and the passers buy being advertisers who want actual engagement from users.

There are plenty of browsers built on Gecko that aren’t fire fox. So if you don’t trust Mozilla to build your browser, and don’t want your ad blocker bricked by Google, you have options.

Because it’s not based on chromium(blink web engine), there are two other well supported web engines which browsers can be based on, WebKit (Apple), and Gecko (Mozilla).

At the end of the day, if it’s built on Blink, it’s liable to have Google break things they don’t like on the back end. Including ad blockers.

Opera used to be built on it’s own web engine (presto) but since 2013 it’s been built on Blink.

To be fair, the soda bubbles are extra Lucious at 30k feet.

Especially because that’s just the sandwich, not a side and a drink. A combo meal is like 10.15$

I’m sorry but the quality of the food does not justify 10 dollars.

For comparison, I remember in Berlin not even 5 years ago I got a currywurst with fries and a drink for 3.60 € (about 3.90$), and in London I got an absolute mound of fish and chips with peas for like 6.50 £ (about 8$). Both of these I got as much or way more food than a Big Mac combo and they were much better quality.

I always find this so funny, like people are talking “needing to innovate to solve the climate crisis”. like, FFS, WE’VE HAD ELECTRIC TRAINS FOR OVER 100 YEARS!

They don’t even need batteries! They just need a power line and a little hook!

Yah, mushrooms are not that hard to identify if you know what to look for. I worry people who do not know what to look for will be far too confident with such an imperfect tool.

Especially with the growth of demand for foraged mushrooms in restaurants and supermarkets. It’s big money, and I have no doubt some “enterprising” people are going to get people hurt by trusting these tools too much.

Hell, doesn’t really work in temperate zones ether to be honest. It gets common house/yard plants well but if you go into actual wild-ish areas it will give you 5 different answers from five different angles of the same plant.
