My personal grievances are using a laptop with ubuntu. No wireless casting of display to tv, no good smart phone as a mouse/keyboard control, the screen is sometimes sideways for no reason.

But Linux and stuff is interesting still. I'm just not ready for it as a daily driver.

I've been the playing the fuck out of Gatekeeper. The lore isn't super deep yet but the gameplay is super fun to me and the dev road map makes it seem like they have a ton of major updates planned (new characters, modifiers and locations)

I'm not 100 percent sure on the terminology but I think it is an isometric roguelike.

Anyways I have 30 hours and counting in it and I just 100% the unlocks but I still want to try higher difficulty runs with a full party.

Thank you for the resources!

So latency in the network would only be an issue if I processed so many requests that I used the entire bandwidth of the port on the pi?

Still running pihole on the pi 3b+ after many years and was wondering about the above question since fiber is coming to my area soon ish.

From searches on Google it seems that it wont but what about if I start running other services on the pi? Such as VPN?

Well damn. There goes my hopes and dreams. Thanks for your help.

Its odd because i dont know what im doing, i sudo everything lol. So, i also tried what @dragnucs@lemmy.ml said. Changed the shellscript.service to use commands instead of a script and then checking status in terminal after a restart.

With xrandr it failed with "cant open display" which is what youre talking about. Is what youre saying is that i cant run xrandr before login?

With barrier it failed because "The Barrier GUI requires a display". So, same thing, it cant be done before login??

The goal is to have my screen rotate to normal and start Barrier (keyboard and mouse share software) on boot up.

So, i have a laptop laying on top of my desktop monitor that i use kinda like a second monitor. But it boots up with the display sideways and i have to login to be able to use mouse and keyboard from my desktop.

I have tried everything to get a systemd service to handle those problems. But no luck, i think the service isnt running properly on boot. Please help me out.

Let me know if there is a better community to post to or if additional info is needed. Thanks.
