My first problem is that the GOP wants to have people's private vital information freely given to them and that people would be required to comply. Tying that information to activities of consenting adults will be misused. Blue noses can't keep their noses in their own business, and the possibility for graft and blackmail is immense.

When did the GOP start to care about children, anyway?

Trump had already admitted these charges. Now, Lauro wants to spin it as only kinda close to obstruction but actually only a jk or something.

I can only see it as an attempt to win the election and pardon himself.

I fully expect Trump to make a run for it when verdicts start coming down. There is no way that Trump will go to prison.

My family have had one home leveled, one home so badly damaged that after rehab, lost 2/3 of its value, and yet another home badly damaged by three separate climate driven events. One was a 1000 yr flood, and then, two different straight wind derechos. We were homeless three times.
We live in the Midwest. Furthermore, we are only one of many thousands that have already been affected and are certainly not the first. When the insurance companies pass on the profits because of risk, we can accept that actuaries have seen the light.

MTG may have made the difference in the US agreeing to pay the deficit interest on their bills. I am waiting for their (FC) next attack on children in school to be over rainbow colors in boxes of crayons.

I looked up https://ground.news on your suggestion and immediately signed up. This is the site that I have wanted to find for years. Thanks

SCOTUS is not held to any ethical standards and have appointments that last for life. The conservative court has gone off the rails on their latest rulings, arguably making discrimination legal, even on protected groups. This upends decades of protections for vulnerable groups that were targeted by fascist groups.
While Roberts is whining about criticism on what his court has done, the main topic of criticism is newsworthy in that it has real consequences.
The same groups that lean toward authoritarianism, also lean toward Putin being allowed to take Ukraine. This fight spills over to the rest of the world.
