are u joking? have u missed out on how the biggest fossil companies from the US/Europe have known about climate change for 40+ years and also actively downplaying it for the same amount of time?

Hamas was elected to government in Gaza in one of the few elections the occupier has allowed, and there are plenty of parts of Hamas which is not military, the Palestinians want freedom and peace, and resistance against the occupation is also fighting, or politics, be it PLO or Hamas.

Well the problem is one is the occupier and the one is the occupied. And people talk as if Hamas is the Palestinians problem and that it all started October 7th.

Treat people and respect them as humans, don’t put them in open-air prisons, and divide people into an apartheid system, then maybe you won’t have any terrorist attacks and/or rapes.

If you think Hamas «started» anything, read up on the history. It’s a 75 year long illegal occupation.

Keep telling yourself whatever you need to support your own narratives. I just wanna let you know that I think you are a cold-hearted person, and I hope that you, your family, or your people will never be thought of, as you are thinking and/or talking of the Palestinians right here.

They are deliberately bombing hospitals, schools and people fleeing. If you cannot open your eyes to see this, but rather argue about the technicalities of semantics to feel better, I wish you good luck in life.

Wow.

Are you literally saying it’s not a genocide because the population is growing faster than the IDF is killing?

I don’t know what happened to your brain, nor your heart, but I am sad whatever happened to you, happened.

Very good argument my man. A hospital contains newborns, sick and injured people, in addition to medical staff who provides care for these people. If you think that is the same as a music festival, I would maybe make a visit to both types of establishments if you need to understand.

[-] nammi@lemmy.world 8 points 8 months ago

I’m not trying to say Hamas is not evil, but equating the terrorist attacks on October 7th with IDF’s intentional bombing of hospitals, schools, killing 4000 children doesn’t, and shouldn’t be sound mathemathics in my mind. If we do, we are not far from the people who let the Holocaust happen.

[-] nammi@lemmy.world 2 points 8 months ago

I think most people would not equate hospitals with music festivals. I hope you don’t either.

They can’t even have festivals when they live in an apartheid regime, under an open-air prison controlled by the other party. Equating this as an equal conflict is unfair and an unjust representation of reality.

just as? how many pediatric hospitals have the other side deliberately bombed?

[-] nammi@lemmy.world 4 points 8 months ago

Happy to admit? Then tell your government to admit then? How does your PM being of Indian descent make this fact any better?

Have you read Inglorious Empire: What the British Did to India by Shashi Tharoor?

Moaning? Read the book my man. You sound very clueless...
