Gmail is so nice because after it's done scouring through my potentially private emails it lets me know if I said "is attached" but didn't attach any files

Uh... no? In no way does "not recommended" mean that they absolutely cannot go on their own. It's not recommended for pregnant women to drink, that doesn't make it illegal or impossible for them to do so

"I have never been hit by a car because I understand the simple concept that if I stand in front of a moving car I will be hit with it"

"I have never been in debt because I understand the simple concept that if I spend more money than I have I will be in debt"

"I have never experienced a situation because I have never had to experience the situation"

You went to be an asshole on Reddit, got called out, then came here to cry about it and get people to agree with you. Unfortunately people think you're an asshole here too.

It's funny how people like yourself are so concerned with the health of the public when they see a fat person but usually say nothing to smokers, overly skinny people, people of normal weight with horrible diets, etc. Just mind your own fuckin business lol.

I think a step in the right direction would be fixing her posture

these new tires do deform with the ground

They aren't saying they don't. The foam and gel tires they mentioned also deform with the ground. Like you said, the rings only compress a bit at the site of the impact. Person you're replying to is pointing out that pneumatic tires disperse this impact across the whole tire

Yes, that's exactly what I think and precisely the message my comment portrays. In fact I believe you personally are the sole cause of the lack of public programs. Shame on you.

I was going to say you're not a bad person, but then you swore on the Internet.

It doesn't matter that you tried to censor it. Bad words are a strict no no here and don't you forget it. The Internet is no home to your obscenities.

I'm on your side of the argument, but I don't think this is a fair take. We know from history that it's very difficult for victims to come forward in these cases. Your Catholic Church example is a good case of this; the adults we're hearing from were children when the abuse took place. Look at the Me Too incident. Hundreds if not thousands of victims all coming forward years after the fact because they feared the backlash. I genuinely doubt there are groups like the woman described in existence, but if there were, it's understandable that we wouldn't be hearing about it right away.

That's what I'm saying haha. Everyone in here seems to be relishing in the fact that this program might go away simply because of who put it in place. I'm getting more and more convinced every day that the majority of people who left reddit for the Fediverse are young angry teenagers who think they're sticking it to "the man". So many comment sections look exactly like this; no nuance, only anger at anything remotely right wing. Even an HIV resource program is too far right for these people.
