@ruk_n_rul There are apparently companies and volunteers who specialize in cleaning a house after deaths. I’ve a bit of a morbid curiousity so I know how messy dead bodies can be, lol. @cafe

@ubi
So I’d assume you were looking for dead animals in the forest?

Next time if I go to Genting I’ll stay here

Clickbait-y title/opening aside, this is a fascinating place that’s so much more than “it’s creepy/haunted”. People LIVE here. There’s a community inside with shops and barbers and all that.

@anotherlemmyuser Yeah Gula Melaka and Gula Apong gives us wonderful drinks and desserts like cendol and three layer tea! The more adventurous can probably get some belacan or other shrimp-based products.

Escalator to hell

Some of the lights at Muzium Negara MRT station were not working earlier today, so the escalator looked like this.

@Annoyed_Crabby Haha I know about this because I once stumbled on one of the chocolate factories hidden in some housing area near Bukit Bintang, with lots and lots of tourist buses parked outside…

@panda Milo is not even a local brand, though it’s hugely popular here. The whole chocolate thing appears to be targeted at tourists from the sinosphere, presumably with the help of successful marketing…

Souvenirs to buy in Malaysia

We Malaysians might not be aware but apparently, we’re famous for our chocolate. Every day, an endless stream of buses filled with China tourists make their stop at chocolate factories that locals don’t even know exist haha.

Other must-buy Malaysian products according to this China YouTuber: Milo powder, instant white coffee, instant teh tarik and instant cooking bak kut teh.
