Its open-source but not free (for commercial use). Node-Red is a completly free replacement.

Also using for many years with custom domain. They also support Caldav/Carddav which is great for using with software like Thunderbird.

Wir sehen hier natürlich die Parallelen zu Twitter, wo Alternativen wie Mastodon im Raum standen, was aber auch nicht wirklich funktioniert hat. [..] Allein der Anmeldevorgang und die Technik hinter solchen alternativen Netzwerken ist für den 08/15-User, der nur mal in der Mittagspause ein paar Memes schauen will, zu viel Aufwand. ~1~
