Understandable but the point is that far right and fascist parties thrive the worse the problems become. They just blame all problems on minorities and sow hatred. As a result, all the pain and frustration from the problems get channeled into their agenda and they get more votes=more power=more money. That happens world wide.

Good book. I think the thumbnail sounds up the main problem with mindless tree planting. Monocultures, isolated from historic biomes won't become healthy ecosystems at all but fall prey to bugs and disease. Same as with human culture, biodiversity is needed for it to thrive.

The most obvious lever for that is a CO2 emissions price on the same level as the price for its removal. CRT are insanely expensive so an emissions price based on that is nicely arguable as long as they promote CRT and the high emissions price would accelerate the transition immensely.

Tax every single thing based on the CO2 equivalent emissions over its entire lifecycle and use those funds for an equal payout to every citizen to offset the social inequality of such a tax.

I get that carbon collection on industry exhausts are necessary and a must have for a lot of products (like steel). But other than that this is silly. Plant trees and use them to build stuff, plant new trees after that. Rinse, repeat.

Meh,I tried it playing dead space and it wasn't working well. If course, it has less moving parts and the quality is great but the touch pads were a lot less responsive than regular analog sticks imho. But that may just be my personal taste.
