Never played it either. Looks like it asked random trivia questions that I guess kids wouldn't know.

For anybody thinking this new game will be anything like XCOM prepare for disappointment.

Jake has previously said that he is leaving turn-based tactics games behind.

And his tweet announcing Midsummer even says "it's going to seem very different from what I've done before."

edit: There is some good news for turn-based tactics fans. Another studio founded by former XCOM devs is focusing on turn-based games.

It's a reference to the movie They Live. The protagonist finds glasses that let him see the hidden truth of our world.

The joke in this meme is that the truth isn't even hidden anymore, it's embraced.

The 29-year-old complete quadriplegic shared that he had lost sensation and suffered paralysis from below the shoulders after sustaining a spinal injury during a diving accident eight years ago

Arbaugh also revealed that the implant had given him the freedom to pull an all-nighter playing the strategy game Sid Meier’s Civilization 6 - something that he could not have done on his own before the surgery.

This is the kind of use case for neuralink that I'm okay with.

If anyone knows the original artist let me know. I'd love to see more of their work.

To the several people who reported this post:

This community does not have a ban on AI generated images. Especially ones as silly and harmless as this.

Should a user abuse AI generated images, such as spamming them, then action will be taken against them. But one-off silly images like this are fine.

My cat's name is Possum. Not really a crazy name, but it has caused confusion before.

Once I was picking her up from the vet and said "I'm here to pick up Possum."

Then the lady at the front gave me a confused look and said "We don't treat Possums here."

One of my favorite examples of Jordan Peterson stupidity is when he was lecturing about some ancient civilization artwork that showed two serpent creatures creating humanity. He said that because the snakes were drawn in a double helix that this ancient civilization knew about and wanted to represent DNA.

Snakes coil around one another in a double helix when they mate. The snake creatures in the art were just fucking.

I'm leaving this up. I don't think you'll have too much luck here though. You're probably better off posting this to a larger social media site.

But just so you know, you spamming this to a bunch of communities could be viewed as a violation of Lemmy.World's rule 11.

  1. No spam allowed. We are not your free advertising platform. If you are here only to sell your products or services, you will be removed. Occasional posts of commercial links will be tolerated, but when the vast majority of a user’s posts are commercial in nature, we regard the account as a spam account. We will evaluate reports of spam on a case by case basis.

Other mods/admins may remove your posts and/or ban you.

Best of luck getting Bernie his surgery.
