Horrific civilian death toll as the IDF "mistakenly" bombs the very safe zones where they told people to go in 3, 2, 1...
You're doing Lord Baphomet's work here, but I think I'm good. Thanks though!
Back in 2006/2007 I was reading Slashdot for tech news and stuff. I started noticing that a lot of newer content was just linking to Reddit posts, so I figured I'd cut out the middleman and jumped ship to Reddit.
Good... and also "bye".
Yeah, have you tried just... being @rosymind@leminal.space ? Their experience is obviously superior, why would you want to be anybody else? /s
Seattle media come in three types:
- Sinclair, so, unabashedly authoritarian; they actively lobby for more cops no matter what.
- Incapable (sorry KING 5, you guys ain't evil but you ain't competent either); they just pass on whatever the SPD has to say.
- Independent / Fringe; they don't support the cops but they're on shoestring budgets and have limited effectiveness.
So we're pretty much screwed on the media front.
I'm hoping to someday buy a computer that can run Squadron 42. Can Social Security help with that?
Somewhere out there a vending machine is crying its metal heart out
Doubtful; A) that would cause rust, and B) it'd have to pay to get that capability in the first place!
Honestly, I had zero expectations of Vending Machine but it's mildly exceeded them. Way better than it has any right to be.
My first reaction: "whoo, more of these two!"
My second reaction, being only partway through Season 2: "...shit, are they still not together!?"
I wonder if there's a full archive up anywhere; KONG (King 5's spinoff station) re-ran all the episodes a few years* back (when The 206 was trying to be a thing) so somebody might have some recent high-quality captures or something.
*due to COVID Time, "a few years" means up to 10 years ago ;_;)
Oh, look, another industry forcing instant roll-backs of new laws by hurting the consumers to "prove" the law is "harmful".
