Yeah, the game looks great, it has been on my wishlist since they announced it. Do share your opinions after finishing the game.

Do share some pics from your island. And your Minecraft chateau.

You makes game so difficult, 10 HP run sounds pretty tough.

Who is Keiji Muto and Masahiro Chono? Japanese wrestlers? What are their in-game name?

It keeps happening to me. Started a game on PS5, wanted something portable, so started one on Switch too. Both were slowish games, so started an action game. All these games requires somewhat long session so started one that can be played in small bursts...

Sea of Stars is pretty high on my wish list, so will probably play it within 2 years or so...

Playing Dragon Age: Inquisition, killing demons and dragons, making alliances, removing obstacles. I can see why people loved this game so much.

I finished The Last Campfire soon after posting like week's thread.

Started The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the first time ever, on Switch using NSO subscription. I was expecting a very dated gaming experience, but it doesn't feel too bad. The gameplay is still fun. There was some issue with getting used to the controls on Switch, but I think I have gotten the hang of it now. Basically have to remember to not use right stick, and things work out fine.

I have left the forest, and am now in Goron dungeon. Got slightly stuck in couple of places but not enough to look up anything yet, it's still early in the game though, so who knows how it goes.

Edit: I dropped Helldivers 2, while the game seems really fun, it just isn't for me. I am not sure why exactly, but I think it's because the game has no narrative and no proper end point. I like to play and finish the games, but can't do that if game never finishes.

What about all of you? What have you been playing, or planning to play over the weekend?

They all sound like non-answers to me. They can't say anything about anything specific, they are making more games, they will keep making more games.

It's a GIF, so there's no sound.

I'll take my leave now...

The first paragraph remineds me of motto of EDC community "two is one, one is none"; and while you can't have a backup for each individual employees, having some redundancy is just more efficient in the long run.

A slow week for my existing games, as I played mostly multiplayer games this week.

Tried some Star Wars: Hunters, it's a free-to-play 4v4 multiplayer game, that is only on mobiles and Switch. I saw the free-to-play and completely ignored the game, but then heard the SwitchUp guy (don't remember which one was it :S ) liking it, so gave it a try, and had lots of fun with it.

It may end up as a pay 2 win, but for now, you can unlock all characters without paying anything, and there is no way to get stronger by paying (other than maybe unlocking characters and maxing their levels quickly). I am not sure if I'll play it too much, but it's a fun game to jump in for a game or two when you aren't in a mood to play a longer game, or just to pass some time.

Also played some Helldivers 2 on PS5, and while the game is fun, I couldn't really get into it. Maybe because the friends I joined were all pretty high level and they pretty much carried me through the initial levels, so didn't get to experience the nitty gritty of the game much. Even when I joined the randoms, they were all in their 30s when I was level 4. I'll probably try it one or two more times to see if I can get into it, but right now it doesn't seem like I'll play it after that.

This weekend, I plan to get back to Dragon Age: Inquisition on PS and The Last Campfire on Switch. Hope to finish The Last Campfire as it's a pretty small game and I think I am reaching the end.

What about all of you? What have you playing lately? And what do you plan to play this weekend?

Didn't play much this week. Mainly continuing with Dragon Age: Inquisition, plus some more puzzles in The Last Campfire.

My wife, who generally doesn't play games, got back into Tetris 99, even reaching 2nd in a gruelling match. Also playing some single player Tetris in Puyo Puyo Tetris.

What about all of you? What have you been playing? Or planning to play over the weekend?

Just told my kid about it, and his face broke into a huge grin. I guess that's the target audience.

Though, Netflix has generally been pretty good with their animated shows, so won't mind taking a look at what they do with Minecraft myself.

According to a comment on another post on lemmy. The takedown notice is fake, probably sent by some troll. Garry's Mod is still removing stuff though, because they think it's real.

I don't know why everyone is so angry at this comment. The question was about what will it take for subscriptions to increase and become dominant in industry, the guy answered that. The interview was with the guy about Ubisoft's subscription service, what else people expected?

If anyone talks to the guy in-charge of Gamepass, and they ask them how will gamepass increase, they wont' say, well, if everyone keeps buying physical, that will be great for us.

I don't know about Xbox, but drift issue is pretty common in PS5 controller too, and I recall reading that all companies uses sticks from same manufacturer.

Everyone online sings praises of 'Hall-effect' sticks, but no one (Sony / MS / Nintendo) is currently using them, probably because of higher cost.

If this works, this will probably solve the issue for Nintendo at least.

Well, as pretty much the biggest instance, it provides the best data for load-testing. 🫣
