Hi! I've been using gel for several months, but a few weeks ago I made the change to injections. Each injection has resulted in some pains in random areas in my left leg, but mostly concentrated in the muscles below the knee. I also started waking up with muscle spasms in the same leg, which is something I used to have before puberty. The pain mostly subsides after a day or two.

I suspect the issue is vasodilation which I understand is more common in women than men because estrogen dilates the blood vessels, but I wanted to hear other peoples thoughts.

Wearing overknee socks (to compress) helps, as does ice and exercise/movement, which I think is in favour of this being vasodilation.

I will be bringing this up with a doctor in a couple of weeks, but I'm afraid he won't be able to help much or have someone to refer me to as competence regarding trans stuff is pretty low here in Norway (also I'm diy).

I would like to know as much as possible about what this could be so I have something to present to him.

Transcript: A girl is standing in front of a trans flag. She is wearing a sweater with the trans flag colors and has cat ears. A caption above the image reads: "React with the sparkling heart emoji if you love girl bulge, or hate late stage capitalist imperialism".

They would have known this if they bothered to open the surgery regret rate studies I linked them (but we both know studies won't change their mind). For the lazy it's less than 1% for both transmascs and transfems.

Kids are never offered "life changing surgeries". This doesn't happen. Evidence very much suggests being trans is a genuine neurological condition that we are born with.

Our brains match our gender.

Brains are not necessarily binary.

We understand some of the causes.

"Risk" of being born trans seems to be partly genetic.

Our identities are stable.

The American Academy of Pediatrics is on our side.

Adults don't regret surgery. And another study on the same.

Additionally, getting a diagnosis is a long process (and it's not guaranteed that you'll get one), and then actually getting treatment takes even more time (also not guaranteed).

EDIT: I can't read what the transphobe is saying anymore as they have rightly been banned from the server I'm on. Detransitioning is uncommon, but of course perfectly valid. Typically people detransition because of transphobia or for economic reasons. Have some additional links:

Rates of detransition are low, and they are only very rarely permanent and caused by true regret.

GenderGP links multiple studies saying essentially the same thing.

This one mentions detransition rates of 13%, but again mostly to escape stigma.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry posted a video message addressed to Ireland on X warning that β€œrecognizing a Palestinian state will lead to more terrorism, instability in the region and jeopardize any prospects for peace.”

Sounds like a threat

I found it very helpful to stop worrying about labels and words. They are nice for getting a feel for the possibilities and to convey ideas to others, but at the end of the day they will always be imprecise and lacking.

Feeling like you don't fit into the gender binary is pretty common among trans people, and plenty of cis people rebel against it as well, so don't worry about whether or not you are an archetypical trans or cis person or whatever.

The only thing you need to ask yourself is "is there some other way of being that would make me happier/more comfortable?"
Maybe you want to change how you dress and present yourself?
Maybe you want to act and carry yourself somewhat differently?
Maybe you want to change your name or your pronouns?
Maybe you want to try makeup, shaving, or doing something dfiferent with your hair?
Maybe you feel your brain would work better with different hormones, or that your body isn't quite to your liking?

For some people mentally exploring their identity is enough.

Try anything you suspect might spark some joy, and don't worry about anything else. I realize not all of these things are equally easy to test out depending on your circumstances :(

Also check out the gender dysphoria bible in the sidebar if you haven't already, It's a very good read.

Best of luck to you on your journey! <3

I am very much pro palestine. I'm sorry I was not aware this was a primary, in that case voting against biden makes a lot more sense. I meant unionize in the normal way, as you defined it. Unions are an excellent place to also organize protests etc. Unions are absolutely tied to political movements. Here in norway they are/were associated with the workers party, a social democratic party, however they (the party) have been drifting farther and farther towards the center over the years.

I've seen people discus the election and no one brought up that it was a primary, so I foolishly assumed it wasn't.

my apologies, whenever I've seen people discus the election they didn't mention this was a primary. In that case obviously do not vote for biden.

They has a hammer and sickle in their username, a symbol most socialists have abandoned because of tankies.

:/ Unionize and vote against fascism instead.

Yeah? So do I. But how do none of you understand game theory? You are not sending a message by not voting for biden.

Tankies are only aesthetically left

What's with all the tankies recently? If they wanted to change things for the better they would organize and vote for biden, even if he sucks. The organizing is the important part anyways, voting is just damage control.

EDIT: In case it was unclear, I do not mean organize to vote for biden.

EDIT: I am an idiot. This is a primary. Don't vote for biden if there is a better candidate.
