Just wanted to say I'm a big fan of SMUI. I admire and appreciate the work you have done with it.

In some cases they literally prescribe methamphetamine. It's sold under the brand desoxyn. My ex girlfriend had it. Since then, I've stopped conflating the two. They are similar but not quite the same.

I'm a little late but I just wanted to say congrats! 4 years is huge. I'm coming up on 3 years myself and Ive been having thoughts considering going back. Then I remember the misery and it's just not worth it. Keep fighting the good fight and I'll be right there with you!

Agreed. I would not recommend this line of thinking

Joining you in not drinking today. Fuck alcohol

I'll speak from experience: I used to like having a tolerance because it allowed me to "hang" with people that were heavier drinkers than I was. All this ended up doing for me was pave the way for alcoholism to set in.

Ive had this experience multiple times as well. What's really freaky is that Ive had it happen years later and I don't even remember the dream but it comes back to me in the moment and gives me goosebumps. I'm normally not very superstitious or anything so it's an interesting phenomenon.

Like you, it has never happened for any life altering events, just silly situations.

I love connect! It has been really intuitive to use for me.

Happy belated birthday! I relate with you on the finding any excuse to drink. When I finally gave it up, most of what I did ultimately served my need to consume alcohol. I had to reprogram my entire way of thinking too because it was my sole motivation for everything. Life is about more than that.

Not drinking again today!

Congrats on the 3 weeks. That's huge! It sounds like you want to change your life and have taken steps to do it. That is huge and I'm proud of you.

The things you are feeling are normal and something I can relate to. Navigating a life that I built for myself that is surrounded by alcohol was and is one of the most challenging things I've ever done. I personally had to take a lot of my time and prioritize my sobriety before I was ready for social gatherings again. Your milage may vary. That said, once i did go to a party, I realized most people had no clue I wasn't drinking. I was much more self conscious about the fact. I would bring NA beer with me or Seltzer and most people wouldn't ask or care what I was drinking.

Good luck on your journey and I hope you have a kick ass halloween!
