So that's all really fun.

How's your week?

Back when I was like 9, on my birthday, I went and knocked on a neighbor's door. Told her it's my birthday and left. This was someone I'd never spoken to before.

Later that night she shows up at our house with a stuffed bunny. Turns out she interpreted "It's my birthday!" as "We're having a party and you're invited!" not "I just wanted everyone to know!" like I meant it.

My mom made some emergency tea and received her in our messy living room. They ended up becoming friends after that.

I couldn't imagine doing anything like that as an adult. Just knock on a stranger's door to announce it's my birthday and walk away lol.

Hey it sounds sad but imo my friends and I had like the best childhood.

Its not like we never left the house - we did - but while playing soccer we were making plans on launch of WoW Burning Crusade, to whose place we can go set up a "Lan" with fast Internet and whose parents wouldnt care if we would play all night.

After school launching Warcraft 3 playing Line Tower Wars and then going out for soccer or the lake was a blast.

Then at home we would order pizza and start a Lan Session and play Starcraft BW, Age of Empires or Speedrun in Diablo 2.

I miss those days. I have waaay more time on me than as a kid (nice job) but my friends dont. So even if I have the time it will never ever be the same like in 2001 to 2009.

I miss those days :( im glad my parents let me game whenever I wanted and let us choose if we want to play inside or outside. Gladly we did both but I sure would have a huge missing part of me if and my friends never made so many memories in WoW, Warcraft, Starcraft, Diablo, Quake etc

This made for an interesting discussion at dinner lol. Lots of opinions on what is or isn’t a “dumpling” xD

I keep commenting on the wrong post somehow.

I don't even know how I keep making this stupid annoying mistake ffs🔥

Sometimes I wish I could augment my brain to become better, but simutaneously I also remember that Elon Musk and other capitalists are in control of BCI tech which reminds me that I don't really want to atm :/

If so, how did you manage it?

Didnt get any pictures cause my phone was turned off but there were a ton of people driving by filming

It was honestly really fun, I expected to to feel like a necessary and important chore, but it was super fun waving to every car and trying to get people to honk, and shouting

There were times where it felt like everyone at the major intersection we were at were honking simultaneously and it was kinda incredible 😅 I imagine it helps a lot we were in a fairly blue area in my state

We went to a smaller protest location instead of the main one in our area so we expected it to be really small and peeter out early but it was way bigger than either my friend or I expected

Overall it was really nice, I got to chat with folks, there were folks passing out food so I got a free cookie and donut, got to wave at cars, see people and sometimes little kids in the back seat wave back, try and get moving trucks and whatnot to honk (a good number did lol), only downside is I'm pretty sunburnt cause afterwards we went strawberry picking lol. I'm sure not all protests are fun, but as a first time experience it was a lot more fun that I expected

Walking away from it I feel a bit more connected to my community and I love that feeling

The vet says he has a cancerous lump and will not survive any intervention, and that he was a very different dog than even from two months ago and that it was time. He has dementia, tracheal stenosis, diabetes and cataracts, and coughs a lot, so it really is time, but my ex needed to hear it from the vet, who thankfully is always her forthright helpful compassionate self.

I know the internet hates pugs, but he was a stray I fostered and then adopted, and he had a wonderful hilarious personality, was cuddly as could be, and really did very well until the last year or so.

It is the right decision without question, but it's never any easier no matter what experience you have with it. I will miss my puppy baby so much.
