I understand that long time Spotify users may be hesitant to migrate apps. The UI is familiar and there are hundreds-thousands of songs you may have on their.

However, if they are aggressively hunting down, I don't expect them to stop anytime soon. If you are okay with dealing with a constantly breaking app, that's fine.

However, as a long time Spotify user (over 10+ years), I found that the adjustment to YTMusic was easy, and the features are competitive to Spotify. And yes, you can download locally straight from the app.

For Android: Revanced (the .app website is the official or find it on GitHub). Traditionally, Revanced was used to provide ad-free YouTube with SponsorBlock, but it also provides premium YT Music. You can also patch reddit, and other apps.

It does NOT work with xapks, so you will need to split the app. However, i recommend downloading an APK from APKMirror. You don't have to split anything. Put it in Revanced, press patch, and you have premium YT and YTMusic.

Migrate your songs and playlist with whatever flavor of program you prefer.

For iOS and Spotify (Free): use sideloadly (/r/sideloaded) and find EeveeSpotify. It is updated almost daily and is iOSs "official" Spotify crack. /r/sideloadly is free, but you can only do 3 apps. When I used it, it was EeveeSpotify, YTLitePlus, and Apollo for Reddit (yes, still works).

For iOS and any cracked app you want (paid): If you want to sideload more than three apps and straight from your device, I recommend Kravasign as it's cheap enough. Most of iOS stuff is in Telegram channels, but there are many repos that reupload (SwaggyP3600 on GitHub is one of the main ones used)

For iOS and YTMusic. If you do wish to migrate to YTMusic, the iOS app is YTMusicUnlimited. You can find it in most repos on GitHub like SwaggyP3600.

Local download users: Outertune looks like a solid replacement

Most audiobook content on the high seas is either in the form of mp3 files or worse - batches of mp3 files like audiobook-part1.mp3 audiobook-part2.mp3. The parts are typically broken up randomly, and are not even correlated to chapters in the book.

These mp3 files lack chapter information which make navigation of the audiobook listening experience far inferior compared to a single m4b file (or m4a).

m4b files are also super easy to get - they can be downloaded easily for purchased books from Audible via OpenAudible or Libation.

To be honest, I don't even know how I would legally acquire an audiobook in the form of broken up mp3 files. But there must be a reason that audiobooks are so often released this way. Like it doesn't seem likely to me that uploaders are going out of their way to destroy the user experience of the downloaders, but I can't think of any good reason it would be this way.

So what gives?

I was thinking of hosting a site that provide lyrics for songs that are almost impossible to find. I don't understand the legal aspect of it. Is it piracy and will I get into trouble? I am not rich and this will be a good way to earn some pocket money.

Let me make one thing very clear. I am not talking about commercial songs at all. I am talking about some obscure songs from my home land. These are old songs that may or may not be from a movie. These are not the songs you can find easily on the internet. So the lyrics are really hard to find. I am pretty good in my our language and I found this opportunity after I wrote the lyrics for a friend.

I was thinking of generating a website that focused on just these songs with focus on ads. This is just an Idea. I don't have to do it. But it is such a cool idea, I just wanted to hear your opinions.

I recently moved all my torrents in an omv server after torrenting with a windows machine, so i can seed continuously even after shutting down my pc. Found this one to be the working set up for me. I added my proton vpn config in there. I can download pretty fine but can't seem to seed that much even with the healthiest torrents i have. Client and config ports matched, interface is correct and connection status is green. Any other settings to adjust that i may have missed?

I monitor the client mainly via web ui and ssh through my windows machine. When testing with this website, it always shows that the port is closed with the ip set from the config. Does this mean that qbit is working but not listening with the port? Any other tips on how to check?

I have been using Spotify for years now. And although I have most of the songs I like downloaded onto my devices, I only use them whenever I have no internet. Since spotify's mod apk has been mostly patched I end up having to use my local library on my phone. But it just feels so inconvenient when you can't be constantly getting recommendations for new songs that you may like, and whenever I do find such a song, I have to go and manually download it. Soulseek doesn't work (Edit: On mobile, I tried using the unofficial client from playstore, F-Droid has nothing, dk where else to look.), and I've found a LOT of music streaming apps but none of them just work the way I want them to, some are slow, have terrible ui.

So how do you guys only listen to the things you have locally?

Is it safe to log Into MicroG with my main Gmail account? I can't afford to have my main account banned, lol.

Spotify was so bad at making good recommendations. If a free app has a better algorithm, something is wrong

Alright guys, I know you’ve all moved to YTMusic ReVanced. But I’m not ready to give up.

First off, the crack for Spotify PC (Windows) is still working perfectly.

You just need to use BlockTheSpot: GitHub Link (It's a simple .bat file, nothing too complicated).

That said, I keep remote access to my PC enabled (You can use your favorite software), connect from my phone, set the Spotify PC’s audio output to my phone, and voilà, Spotify works again.

It’s a bit of a clunky workaround, but it gets the job done.

(I know there are a lot of smart people here. I think this method has great potential for improvement to get Spotify back on our phones. If you have any ideas, feel free to share them below)
