Republicans are not giving money to Democrats. The same donor is giving money to both, the article literally says that the title is entirely misleading.
What it should say is something about religious right or conservative donors are attempting to get conservative Democrats on tickets instead of more liberal/left ones.
None of this is new to us. The oil industry has been doing this for years bud.
The donors are Republicans this is a Politico article. Take it up with them.
