I find it sad most people are this divided over politics. Her opinions are dumb, she's nonthreatening

genuinely made me laugh. she's smart just homeschooled I'm telling you lol

I(mid 30s dude) am seeing this lady(mid 30s lady), we have different political opinions and talk pretty openly about it. It's interesting, she voted for Trump, was homeschooled/raised christian, very nationalistic and buys his crypto alongside some other crypto, I bought the Communist manifesto while hanging out with her and express all of my opinions boldly. No issues so far, literally.

However over the last few months I've realized a theme in her beliefs, they're all fringe and fake. She wants to go to a chiropractor, she loves the military and believes Trump is a good guy. She dislikes vaccines and believes in psuedo quack medicine yet smokes and vapes. She's an absolute fool and I know it stems from her homeschooling.

Now I have a pretty strong grasp of history and when we discuss the stuff she doesn't understand I find just talking about the history makes her think at least slightly different. But obviously that isn't gonna work long term.

Now I care about this person, I'm not head over heels in love or anything but I don't want her to be this stupid. I dunno how to flat out tell her, "hey your education was poor and it shows," how do you tell someone they're very ignorant in a way that they can put it together themselves. Honestly truly, how?

I dislike this train of thought entirely.

It happened during the Obama administration but it was in response to shit under Bush from people being critical of him/his admin. Obama did not support Citizens United.

Jesus is definitely an amalgamation of a variety of stories and characters. I believe a real Jesus existed and was really killed by the state for what he did on what they celebrate as Palm Sunday, he mocked the emperor and was killed. He likely also mocked the Jewish leaders of his time and the Mystery Cults/public perception of Jews in his time.

Example; the Eucharist was an act of mockery towards Mystery Cult rituals and the negative stereotypes of Jews.

The Bible Jesus and much of his teachings are a culmination of thought put upon one character to tell a story like Gilgamesh (who was also a carpenter), any Roman-Greco hero, King Arthur. The story of the three wise men is, in my opinion, the idea that Eastern/foreign thought is introduced somehow namely Zoroastrianism. The dude lived in Palestine and likely alongside heavy trade routes into Rome, probably got exposed to interesting folk. He's born in both Nazareth and Bethlehem? Sounds to me like he's all these different folks smooshed into one story.

In my opinion, Jesus is anti-authoritarian first and foremost, likely some form of socialist. And likely a punk.

Kurt Cobain is probably closer to Jesus than any Republican.

Yes she works for Russia and they're friends with Iran.

So we can't really trust either.
